Trojan.Fakecopyright. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - -   Also known as Fakecopyright | Type: Trojans

Trojan.Fakecopyright is a Trojan horse that attempts to convince a user to pay a fee for copyrighted material on the compromised computer. Once installed, this Trojan horse will scan your computer for files with .torrent extension and then state that it has detected copyrighted content on your computer. You will be then provided with two options either you pay for the supposedly copyrighted material or your case will be passed to court. If you decide to pay a fee then you will be redirected to scammers web site and you will presented wit the following information:

“Thank you for your decision. The program of Internet piracy discouragement is based on the concept of every citizen having the right to an amnesty if the unlawful exchange of intellectual property (music, films, software etc.) does not take place repeatedly.
You can pay the damages, as well as a fine and procedural expenses to the copyright holder in exchange for a waiver of prosecution and criminal court. Down below you will see the bill issued by our organization. Once the bill is settled, you get the right to use the items of intellectual property obtained via the Internet, while all the issues with the copyright holder will be settled.”

So obviously, that’s a scam. Don’t waste your time and money. Instead, please use the removal instructions below to remove Trojan.Fakecopyright either manually or wit an automatic removal tool.
