removal by Julie Splinters - - | Type: Browser hijacker
12 is a legitimate domain, which has nothing to do with spyware and other kinds of viruses. However, many users on the Internet report that they are continuously redirected to this domain instead of their expected website. If you have also been rerouted to and it hasn't been in your search query, you should check your computer for a browser hijacker virus. Such viruses are usually used for one purpose – to increase the traffic to specific websites. For that, they not only alter browser's settings on victim's computer, but also change its homepage and do other unwanted activity.

It may seem that redirect virus has got inside your system through its backdoors, without any permission asked. However, those rare moments when this program manages to enter the system in such way are usually related to your downloads of freeware. So, when downloading something, you should always carefully check every step of the installation process. It must be mentioned that malware and spyware can also be a cause of browser hijacker's infiltration on your computer, so run a full system scan with anti-spyware to find those viruses on your computer. Once this browser hijacker gets inside the PC, it alters DNS settings, browser settings and even homepage settings on its target computer. As a result, user is made to visit unfamiliar websites every time he enters the URL. If you are one of such people, we highly recommend to remove

Firstly, when continuously redirected to, repair your search engines by following these steps:

Google Chrome:

Open Google Chrome -> click Wrench Icon -> Settings -> Manage Search Engines -> Remove unnecessary Search Engines from the list and make a certain search engine as default search engine.

Mozilla Firefox:

Open Mozilla Firefox -> go Tools -> Magnify Glass or Arrow icon -> Manage Search Engines -> Remove unnecessary Search Engines from the list, make Google or other search engine as your default.

Internet Explorer:

Open IE -> go Tools -> Manage Add-ons -> Search Providers -> Remove unnecessary Search Engines and make a certain engine as default.

We also recommend checking your computer for viruses by running Reimage – this will help you to find browser hijackers and other malware automatically. If redirections still continues, check every step on this post: How to stop Google redirections.
