Websearch.searchmania.info virus poses as a search site and may appear as your homepage and default search engine out of nowhere and take over your web browsing sessions. It is mainly because this search site is known for implementing suspicious activities, such as promoting questionable websites and displaying tricky ads. Such search engines are seldom found and downloaded from the Internet manually. That is because people do not tend to rely on such questionable search sites instead of the well-known Google, Bing or Yahoo. Websearch.searchmania.info is not a virus, so is cannot get inside user’s computer without permission provided. It means that users still do not tend to install freeware carefully. We agree that in most of the cases, additional components are disclosed in a tricky way, such as written in a very small font or indicated somewhere in the bottom of the check box. By the way, if they select Quick or Basic installation option, optional downloads may be absolutely hidden. That is why you have to be very attentive during installation of a freeware and select Custom or Advanced installation method. Later on, monitor the entire process carefully and look for notifications about optional downloads.
