removal by Alice Woods - - | Type: Browser hijacker
12 redirect is the annoying issue, which may start happening on every poorly protected computer. In most of the cases, it begins when PC gets infected with a browser hijacker, a virus which additionally modifies computer's settings and starts making its victims visit or similar sites without any permission asked. Similarly to virus, this infection changes user's homepage, default search engine, bookmarks list and may even install Search Results toolbar on its target computer. If you have noticed such changes on your machine, your should check your PC for a browser hijacker and finally remove it from the machine.

As we have said, redirect is usually caused by a browser hijacker, which gets inside the system NOT without user's fault. There are thousands of people who use freeware without thinking about its safety and they can't even realize how many potentially unwanted programs are distributed using such applications. One of such 'uninvited guests' is this redirect virus. Typically, this program is included to the components list, so you should always pay attention to every installation window of the program when downloading something. As soon as it gets inside, this browser modifies DNS Settings, changes the homepage and makes you visit every time user starts browsing on the Internet. Please, do NOT ignore that because you may be redirected to malicious site as well!
