by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Corrupt Anti-Spyware

AdProtector is a discontinued corrupt anti-spyware program. None of its official domains adprotector.com, protectorsuite.com and redv.net as well as related sites seem to be available. We couldn’t find any working AdProtector installation packages and therefore were unable to test the application. Nevertheless, some 2-spyware.com users sent us reports complaining that AdProtector not only does not fight against adware threats, but also secretly installs RedV Easy Install adware parasite, which tracks user Internet activity and serves large amounts of unsolicited commercial advertisements. Reliable sources such as the official web site of Spybot – Search & Destroy anti-spyware confirm this information. AdProtector definitely is NOT a pest remover, but an advertising-supported threat itself.
