We have carefully tested Npust Anti-Spyware on several computers, including clean PCs and systems infected with common Claria adware. Results showed that although the application doesn’t use false positives, it cannot detect any critical objects and definitely is unable to protect user privacy or system security. The same infected computer was checked using Microsoft AntiSpyware Beta1 and Ad-Aware SE. Compare screenshots provided below.
Npust Anti-Spyware doesn’t show detailed information on detected malicious objects. It performs fast scans that do not involve checking the entire file system or Windows registry. The program searches only for known threats included in its database and in most cases misses unknown spyware.
Program’s vendors claim that their product “can provide every computer with virtual protection against all types of unauthorized spyware and keystroke monitoring programs, both KNOWN and UNKNOWN. Npust Anti-spyware will find almost any spy related programs and its log file on your system. This anti-spyware program will detect any spyware programs, including password stealing programs, keyloggers software, keystroke loggers, hidden screen capturing programs, and various other programs that log your keystroke activity.” We think this statement is deceitful.
The official site is npust.com. It lacks detailed software overview and adequate company information.
We DO NOT recommend this product.
