SmartSecurity

by Ugnius Kiguolis - - | Type: Corrupt Anti-Spyware

SmartSecurity appears to be a discontinued corrupt anti-spyware program. Its official web site www.smart-security.info is no longer available. We couldn’t find any working SmartSecurity installation package and therefore didn’t test the application. However, recently we received numerous reports from our users stating that their web browser and desktop were hijacked by some parasite advertising SmartSecurity. All links on changed Internet Explorer pages as well as on desktop followed to the program’s web site. Although we are not sure who actually is responsible for these issues, we suggest avoiding using SmartSecurity, as there is a very high possibility that the application’s vendor and its affiliates tried to promote and sell the product that way.
