by Ugnius Kiguolis - - | Type: Corrupt Anti-Spyware

SpyBlast is a discontinued corrupt anti-spyware program. Its official domain spyblast.com as well as related web sites is no longer available. We could not find any working SpyBlast installation package and therefore did not test the application. Nevertheless, we received a lot of complaints from our users stating that the program actually is a parasite itself, as it includes a hidden adware component that serves unsolicited commercial pop-up advertisements and tracks user Internet activity. We have also been informed that SpyBlast was promoted using aggressive advertising techniques and installed through ActiveX drive-by downloads. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) confirmed this information and took the decision to prosecute Advertising.com, the SpyBlast’s vendor and stop marketing the product.

Although today it is hard to find SpyBlast we highly recommend you to avoid it at all costs! If you are still using this product, uninstall it immediately. SpyBlast is illegitimate and CANNOT protect your computer!
