SpyFirewall review

by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Corrupt Anti-Spyware

SpyFirewall uses false positives. We have tested this product on clean uninfected computer. Scan results contained 41 entries related to various adware and spyware. The application didn’t provide any details on found objects and their exact locations. See screenshot below.

Free version doesn’t check files, directories and doesn’t perform deep scan of the registry. Spyware Firewall function is also disabled. Nevertheless, developers call it trial. The real trial should provide all the functions available in full version, but work only for certain period of time. Tested free version definitely is not a trial.

Domains associated with SpyFirewall are spyfirewall.com and spyblocs.com. The latter uses deceptive advertising to attract clients. See another screenshot.

Program’s interface is very similar to those found in several other antispyware programs. The application uses same spyware definitions database and produces similar scan results. It is a clone of #1 Spyware Killer, SpyLax, Spyinator and others. It also is a knockoff of legitimate Ad-Aware antispyware.

We DO NOT recommend purchasing or using this product.

What to do if failed?
If you failed to remove infection using Reimage, submit a question to our support team and provide as much details as possible.
Reimage is a recommended tool to scan your system for possible threats and crappy software. The trial version of the product will find harmful applications in your system. Free scanner allows you to check whether your PC is infected or not. If you need to remove malware, you have to purchase the licensed version of Reimage malware removal tool.
