SpyLax review

by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Corrupt Anti-Spyware

We have tested free version of SpyLax on clean system. The application has found 14 critical objects related to various adware and spyware. It didn’t provide any details on suspicious entries and their exact locations. Moreover, SpyLax has reported that Creative sound card drivers are spyware and should be removed from the system. Screenshot provided below proves that this program uses false positives.

Free version refuses to remove parasites it found and asks to purchase full commercial version. Shield function meant to provide automatic protection is unavailable.

Domains associated with SpyLax are healthycomputerclub.com and nospyware.info.

Program’s interface is very similar to those found in several other antispyware programs. The application uses the same spyware definitions database and produces similar scan results. It is a clone of #1 Spyware Killer, Spyinator, SpyKiller 2005 and others. It also is a knockoff of reputable Ad-Aware antispyware.

We DO NOT recommend SpyLax.
