X Con Spyware Destroyer review

by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Corrupt Anti-Spyware

X-Con Spyware Destroyer uses ridiculous false positives. We have tested the program on absolutely clean computer that was never infected with spyware threats, trojans, viruses or any other malicious parasites. However, the application managed to detect 28 malicious registry entries related to three malware risks – 007 Spyware, IE SearchToolBar and OnWebMedia. Moreover, X-Con Spyware Destroyer did not provide any details on found threats. This clearly shows that the program cannot be trusted. Take a look on the screenshot below.

The program does not have any additional functions. Although it is in beta stage, its version is already 3.1.2. This should mean that the product is well-known to security experts and has been carefully tested by them. However, nobody heard of it before. X-Con Spyware Destroyer is nothing more than a simple, but useless application that does not even work as intended. Although it is free, it is not worth a try. Using this “spyware remover” can severely damage your system and installed software.

It must be noted that the vendor of X-Con Spyware Destroyer is responsible for illegally using the official 2-Spyware.com information. There is a list of worst 2005 malware on the program’s official web site. This list is a part of Top 100 parasites of 2005, another list made by the 2-Spyware.com research team. We did not receive any questions regarding its reproduction on web sites like that of X-Con Spyware Destroyer. Take a look on another screenshot below. Compare the list on it with the genuine one.
