Lenovo will offer you an opportunity to kill your notebook with an SMS message

Lenovo computers in early next year are planning to present a new security system for notebooks. System allows you to disable your notebook by sending it an SMS message. If the notebook is turned on the lock down happens immediately or, if it’s turned of, the next time the system signs into cellular network.
The system would be more useful if user could us it over internet. However you should remember that it won’t protect your data, because hard drive could be removed and connected to other computer – unless the data is encrypted.
