Why do malware analysts say that MyMemory is a potentially unwanted program?
MyMemory virus can be defined as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) that displays a lot of ads. Although it says that its functions can help the user to remember important events, it soon becomes clear that it is just another useless application that seeks to bombard user’s screen with annoying pop-up ads from third-party companies. This program also has a different name – MyMemoryPackage. We have discovered that it belongs to a family of potentially unwanted programs that are developed by CMI Limited (examples: Note-Up, YellowSend). MyMemory adware is mainly used to generate revenue by displaying third-party advertisements for the user, and these ads often look catchy and meaningful. At first, you might get an impression that MyMemory does not only work as a reminder but also as a tool that finds commercial offers related to your interests. Who wouldn’t like to have such assistant in their computers, right?
Sadly, this vague tool spies on your activity online, and that is why it manages to select such targeted advertisements for you. It can reach information such as your browsing history, recent search queries, ads that you clicked on, your IP address, the country you live in, and more. It manages to dig out such information by simply adding tracking cookies to your browsers. We doubt that such suspicious program should stay on your computer system any longer, because instead of being a useful reminder, it simply teases you by displaying loads of third-party ads. There is no need to use this program because the Internet is full of other reminder programs that do not serve third-party ads daily. If you have decided to remove MyMemory adware, follow instructions presented at the end of this post. If you have questions about MyMemory removal process, feel free to leave them in the comment section below or just send them to our support team. If you are looking for a tool that can remove spyware and malware threats for you, we suggest FortectIntego or SpyHunterCombo Cleaner.

How to avoid adware programs?
If you do not want to contaminate the computer system with programs like MyMemory, you should pay more attention to software installation process NO MATTER what program you are installing. MyMemory hijack can affect your PC quickly and silently because this program spreads in conjunction with other free programs that you might decide to install. It is essential to adjust the setup settings correctly because only they can provide information about extra programs added to your download. So whenever you download a program, do not rush to install it. Read all information provided by the installation wizard and do not forget to adjust installation settings. Custom or Advanced settings are the ones to opt for because they will reveal additional software bundled with your download and allow you to reject it. Another tip is to select the site to download desired programs from carefully. You should never rely on sites that users can freely upload files to because you can unexpectedly download untrustworthy files or programs without even realizing it.
