ShareByLink is the questionable software that is not considered valuable

Need to share a file with your friend quickly? Then better stay away from the ShareByLink virus, which pretends to be useful software. This program claims to be a tool that creates a sharing link to any file to stream the file to anyone you want. Although it seems that it is a beneficial feature that helps to transfer large files quickly, we want to warn you that the adware[1] has a dark side, too.

Name ShareByLink ads
Type Adware
Category Potentially unwanted program
Symptoms Pop-ups, banners, other content appears out of nowhere. This behavior affects the speed of the device
Distribution Freeware installations that rely on software bundling methods
Elimination Removal of these infections gives better results when you rely on AV tools and also use manual methods described below
Repair PUPs are capable of affecting more significant parts of the machine, so you should run FortectIntego and fix virus damage

It appears that it is an ad-supported[2] program, which employs tracking cookies[3] to find out what your browsing habits are and then pushes tons of promotional content using your Internet browser. Infected browsers will display more banners[4], pop-up and pop-under ads, in-text links, and such ads that will definitely annoy you. Besides, this adware program will slow your computer down as it needs to use the computer’s power and network connection to reach its ad networks and load advertisements from there.

If you started wondering what is wrong with these ads that are selected especially for you, you should know that they can redirect you to potentially dangerous sites available online. We recommend you not to trust them because you might be taken to deceptive or untrustworthy Internet pages that might be promoting spyware or malware.

Redirects to third-party websites generate pay-per-click[5] revenue for authors of this software, and that is why it is free to use. However, you should think twice before using it. There are a lot of useful free programs online that do not serve annoying advertisements multiple times a day, so you can remove ShareByLink adware without pity. You can use FortectIntego for that or simply carry out instructions provided at the end of this post.

Avoid installing potentially unwanted programs

Potentially unwanted programs are not malicious, but they are definitely annoying. The majority of them, just like the PUAs, are distributed using the software bundling method, which allows to pack a bunch of programs into one pack and hide the presence of less-known ones. To reveal what kind of programs are bundled with your chosen software, open Custom or Advanced settings during its installation.

These settings need to be configured carefully, so make sure you read all information written in fine print and then deselect suspicious-looking additions such as browser toolbars, apps, or never-heard-of search tools. Once you do that, you can proceed with the installation without worries.

Uninstall ShareByLink software completely

Cannot remove the virus by yourself? Then trust our experts and rely on instructions that they have prepared for you. You can find a detailed ShareByLink removal tutorial down below. We hope that these guidelines will help you and you will be able to delete this adware program from the system completely.

However, we still want to recommend trustworthy anti-malware tools that can thoroughly scan your PC system and ensure that there are no suspicious elements left. You can scan the computer system for free – so why not check if the system is secure or not?
