EnjoyWifi sparks doubts over its reliability

The image of EnjoyWi-fi

EnjoyWifi virus functions as a questionable application designed for PC. As its title suggests, the app should ensure quick access to nearest Wi-fi hotspots and the consistent connection.

However, the application is not distributed via official channels. In other words, it cannot be found on regular search engines. Even it were, now there is no certainty that you will download a safe program even downloading from the official source.[1]

Furthermore, this software fails to provide sufficient information about the developers. Users also reported that the application is distributed along with adware.[2] Therefore, it is highly recommended to remove EnjoyWifi rather than keep it. FortectIntego or MalwarebytesMalwarebytes accelerates the elimination process.

Ignoring shady apps might lead to further problems

Since the application is likely to be distributed along with adware, there is no time to waste. EnjoyWifi might be also related to troublesome adware as it uses questionable distribution methods. What is more, cyber criminals exploit the vulnerabilities in the Google malware detection system and foist malware.

Unfortunately, users do not pay enough attention while installing new applications. They fail to notice that apps tend to access private information. It may later on traded with unknown third-parties or even fall into the hands of cyber crooks.

Later on, such data might be used in subscribing users into paid services.[2] Since there are too many questionable aspects about this app, EnjoyWifi removal might be a better decision. The picture illustrating EnjoyWi-fi

Distribution of questionable applications

If you are an ordinary user, detecting malicious app might be impossible, especially if it manages to bypass Google’s malware prevention system. Certainly, if you install the mobile version of anti-malware utility you might be able to prevent EnjoyWifi hijack or the infiltration of questionable applications.

Before hitting the “Install” button, make sure you check whether the publisher of the program is verified and whether it does not come with optional add-ons.

Eliminate EnjoyWifi

You can get rid of the application by uninstalling it manually. Click on the Settings, then Apps and Features, find the app and uninstall it.

Check the list of apps and look for potentially unwanted ones. Since this application might have been distributed along with adware, locate it and uninstall it as well. You can use malware elimination utility to speed up the process. In case, you got infected with malware and security app fails to delete it, restore factory settings.

You might also try scan your OS in Safe mode. You can enter the mode via the System Configuration or by retstarting the system multiple times. Bear in mind that though the application is in English, it might be promoted in Czech or Portuguese[3] sites.
