Remove Boost ads (Improved Guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Adware

Why do I see Boost ads on my favorite websites?

Boost ads, or Shop with Boost ads, appear in your searches for a very simple reason – your web browser is affected by a commercial browser add-on, which is called “Shop with Boost”. Such add-ons have been widely spread with the help of bundling, so there is no surprise why there are hundreds of people who have been affected by them. No matter that they are not considered malicious, Boost virus and other extensions can easily cause annoying ads in your search results. Also, it can be used for tracking of people’s search sessions as additional components related to Boost ads are installed alongside with the software. Finally, you may notice redirects to unknown websites, slow downs, browser crashes and similar problems. For avoiding these issues or solving them, you need to remove Boost virus. There are two methods that can be used for doing that – you can either go thru your programs and try to find every component that could be related to this potentially unwanted program. The second option that you have is to get rid of Boost ads with the help of automatic removal option. In this case, we highly recommend selecting ReimageIntego.

Boost ads and official website of this adware

How can this adware spread around and hijack computers?

Questions about Boost ads

Boost ads are misleading pop-up notifications seeking to reroute PC users to sponsored websites. How do they get onto web browsers? The answer is very simple. These ads are caused by a misleading ad-supported browser add-on. Such programs have been actively spread with the help of bundling. Once installed, they can add themselves to Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explorer, so the victim may be convinced that all of his/hers favorite websites are affected.

To avoid Shop with Boost adware and havoc that is caused by this browser add-on, you have to keep in mind that such programs infiltrate computers with software bundles. Beware that freeware developers are commonly paid for the possibility to attach various browser add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars or extensions to their software. It goes without saying that potentially unwanted programs manage to spread widely this way. In order to opt out of additional components such as Boost virus, you have to uncheck a tick that notify your agreement to install it during the installation of a freeware. For that, you have to select Advanced or Custom installation option and monitor the installation carefully. Inspect every check box step-by-step and make sure that there are no more additional components left. You have to remember that ‘optional downloads’ are always set by default. Therefore, unless you unmark Boost adware, it may be installed by default.

How to remove Boost virus?

Boost ads removal is not a complicated task if you know what you do. If you are an experienced PC user, you should check your Task manager and extensions on each of your web browsers. However, sometimes such programs install browser helper objects and similar components that are supposed to help them prevent their removal. So, you should try to find them on your computer as well. If you don’t feel like an advanced PC user who is capable of doing that, you should consider using the automatic removal method of this adware. All tools that can be used for eliminating ads appearing on your screen are given down below. After selecting one of them, make sure that you update it and run a full system scan.
