Activity Logger is a commercial computer surveillance program that tracks user activity, logs all keystrokes and captures screenshots. Gathered data can be sent to a configurable e-mail address. Activity Logger is able to hide its running processes. The threat automatically runs on every Windows startup.

i need to know if there is anyway i can know when this first entered my computer and how do i permanently get rid of it, if i havent already. Thanks all for your help. Also, the AOL spyware told me i had it aswell, does that mean anything.

AOL also detected Activity logger, but how do i find out if it is still in my computer

i think AOL purposely does that. it found this program and one called ANM on my machine. i sent them and emailing telling them i could not find any of the supporting exe, dlls or other files for these software on my computer or in the registry. i also told them i will sue them cause there installer installed there crappy software even though i specified NOT to.

Did you bother to check for any of the associated files on your system? I'll bet they weren't there.

As with all AOL associated applications, the AOL spyware protection is GARBAGE. I run several commercial ( as opposed to freeware or shareware) anti-spyware applications and the AOL Spyware protection frequently gives false positives. It is also known to disable valid applications when you tell it to block components it falsely identifies as spyware.

AOL is not my ISP, and in my household is used only as an adolescent chat engine for the kids as that is all it is good for.

Tried to delete using AOL's spyware protection programme with no success. The next time you run the scan it detects it again.
