I used Paretologic Virus scan that I purchased last year. It showed it as a major virus scam and asked if I wanted to "fix it". It removed it all in about 30 seconds.

I just used Spybot Search & Destroy v1.6 on a computer running XP. I had to run Spybot several times but it eventually removed all of Antivirus 2008 without harming any of my files. I highly recommend it. If you are able, these people DESERVE a donation to keep this program up & running.

i installed antivirus2008 on my computer...as soon as the program didnt let me delete it i knew it was a virus. Until u get it fixed you can go to programs and enter the START UP PROGRAMS from there you can disable it BUT NOT REMOVE IT...all that dous is basicaly turn it off. It really does help.

This is bogus.. I download the software, it scans and then says i need to register/pay for getting rid of the virus. What a load of crap! DONT DO IT!

If you PAID, call your CC company and report it as fraud. Do not let that stand. Report it as 100% fraud. Say you never authorized it and have no idea what it is.

I got this virus yesterday afternoon- I did what another person suggested on this forum did. a PC recovery- - I backdated my computer for yesterday morning- then used that time & date as the new system recovery - so far its worked! Got rid of the damn thing!
