Antivirus2008 is a corrupt anti-virus tool that is widely promoted as a legitimate security application. In truth, it is nothing more than another scam of the countless army of malware parasites attacking computers via internet, daily. Antivirus2008 (also known as Antivirus 2008) is distributed through malicious websites that sell other fake anti spyware tools as well.

Antivirus 2008 presents itself as VistaAntivirus2008 and System Antivirus 2008 as well. All these names hide the same fraud. The most common fabricated report displayed by these malwares is "Halt! Critical System Warning".

Antivirus2008 is an unreliable program that displays exaggerated scan results in order to gain a purchase. DO NOT trust this scam and remove Antivirus2008 ASAP if you've been infected.

A quick way to get rid of Antivirus 2008 is do a PC recovery.
I was lucky to have the date the pest arrived and back dated my PC to the day before.

DO NOT BUY. IT IS A MALWARE PARASITE. And if you did contact your credit card company and put on more security to prevent Identity Theft!!

Rule of thumb. If you don't know what it is best not buy it. Especially if it just comes on your system out of nowhere!

I got this virus yesterday afternoon- I did what another person suggested on this forum did. a PC recovery- - I backdated my computer for yesterday morning- then used that time & date as the new system recovery - so far its worked! Got rid of the damn thing!

i installed antivirus2008 on my computer...as soon as the program didnt let me delete it i knew it was a virus. Until u get it fixed you can go to programs and enter the START UP PROGRAMS from there you can disable it BUT NOT REMOVE IT...all that dous is basicaly turn it off. It really does help.

I just used Spybot Search & Destroy v1.6 on a computer running XP. I had to run Spybot several times but it eventually removed all of Antivirus 2008 without harming any of my files. I highly recommend it. If you are able, these people DESERVE a donation to keep this program up & running.
