Overview of the software:

Hao.ylmf.com is a sneaky program that is assigned to these software categories: ‘browser hijackers’ and ‘potentially unwanted programs’ (PUPs). This program can infiltrate your computer silently, and once it finds the entrance to your system, it starts to perform some highly suspicious activities. The first thing this program does is it spreads its components on the affected PC. We have noticed that it places corrupted Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox and IE browsers’ shortcuts on the desktop. If the user clicks on one of these shortcuts, it will launch ‘http://url.cn/cn6dpI’ hyperlink. Then this link reroutes the user to Hao.ylmf.com website, which is a Chinese website.

This website provides a search bar, news, weather forecasts, links to shopping websites, and much more. However, keep in mind that this website is extremely unsafe as it can cause Hao.ylmf.com redirects to various third-party websites.

Do not click on the hyperlinks on the Hao.ylmf.com website and do not try to explore the search results that this dubious website provides, as they can lead you to unexpected web sources that might be filled with infectious content,’ – computer security experts say.

Keep in mind that this rogue application might be affiliated with suspicious third-party companies that seek to promote their websites and the content on them in an unfair. Do you want to be rerouted to predetermined websites instead of reaching the web source that you wish to visit? We highly doubt it. To avoid Hao.ylmf.com redirects and to secure your computer, we suggest removing Hao.ylmf.com hijacker as soon as possible. We recommend using an automatic removal tool to eliminate this computer parasite. You can use Reimage (Windows OS) or Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus (Mac OS).

Hao.ylmf.com redirect virus

What else can happen if Hao.ylmf.com browser hijacker runs its processes on my computer?

Hao.ylmf.com PUP can diminish your browsing experience as it greatly slows down computer speed. It may cause system lags, freezes, or even crashes. However, this is not the worst thing so far.

Speaking about potentially unwanted programs, one of the most unpleasant facts about them is that they are capable of collecting information about you. They collect particular information only – usually, they are interested in your browsing history, recent search queries, downloads, bookmarks, IP address, e-mail address and computer geolocation. It is known that such information can be shared with third-party partners for business purposes. Do you want to reveal what websites do you visit or what do you search for on the Internet?

How to avoid Hao.ylmf.com hijack?

Many PC users often install PUPs without realizing that. It happens because such apps are usually spread as attachments to other freeware apps. You can notice such attachments only if you set particular installation settings when you install any program on your PC. Opt for Advanced or Custom settings. They provide access to the list of ‘optional downloads.’ These suggestions can be opted out easily. Deselect these suggestions to install unfamiliar apps, and proceed to the next installation step.

If you want to remove Hao.ylmf.com hijacker manually, follow the instructions on page 2.

How to uninstall this spyware program?
