What is NetCrawl?

NetCrawl by Super Web LLC is a very questionable program that may enter your computer without your permission asked. It does that with the help of freeware, which is not very monitored by PC users these days. Remember that you MUST track the installation of every freeware/shareware because you may be tricked into installing useless and questionable browser add-ons, extensions, plugins and toolbars. After doing so, you may start seeing intrusive pop-ups during your browsing sessions. You may have already been convinced that ads by NetCrawl are seeking to help you to save the money while you are shopping online. Unfortunately, but you may notice after some time that they are redirecting you only to unknown websites that are seeking to increase their popularity. Beware that this may completely ruin your internet surfing experience, so you should try to avoid NetCrawl redirects as hard as possible.

Besides as we have already mentioned, this ad-supported application is yet another creation from a notoriously known company that is called Super Web LLC. It has been reported that this company is responsible for releasing hundreds of almost identical extensions that are used for tracking PC users and redirecting them to affiliate websites. Our database is full of such adwares, for example: Esuack, Greener Web, Loffinam, Lookinglink and many more. Unfortunately, NetCrawl is just one of these adware-type programs that are mostly promoted as useful tools. If this dubious extension enters your computer, it may initiate many unwanted activities behind your back. Some of them have already been mentioned, some of them, such as tracking of people’s browsing habits and collecting personally non-identifiable information haven’t been mentioned yet. If you have already been seeing annoying NetCrawl ads or if you have been experiencing continuous redirects to sponsored websites, you should think about a full system scan with updated anti-spyware. For that we highly recommend using FortectIntego.

NetCrawl

How can NetCrawl hijack my computer?

We have noticed that almost all adwares that were developed by Super Web LLC are using the same distribution techniques. First of all, you can easily download NetCrawl virus yourself from its official website. As you can imagine, its website is almost identical to previously mentioned adwares websites. Secondly, NetCrawl may also travel bundled with various freewares. If you are not attentive enough when installing questionable free programs, you may install this application as well. That is why we highly recommend not to download questionable extensions for your browser, and not to download unfamiliar freewares without checking them first. If you want to prevent NetCrawl virus from entering your computer, you need to unmark all doubtful attachments when installing unfamiliar freewares. For that, you should choose ‘advanced’ or ‘custom’ installation option and attentively follow the entire process.
