SecurityUtility is an adware that generates various ads and may enter your PC unnoticed
SecurityUtility by Security Utility 1 Ltd (can also be found as Security Utility) is one of those programs that are promoted as tools seeking to protect computers from corrupted websites and online phishing attacks. This program can be found on its official website for no cost; however, be careful and do not trust this program fully. There are several undesirable functions that this application may cause on your computer. Therefore it has been already labeled as adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP).
Although SecurityUtility is certainly not a virus, it may get inside your computer unnoticed and without permission asked. As soon as it enters the computer, it may initiate various system changes and other activities behind your back. It may be responsible for various commercial offers that may appear every time you start your browsing on the Internet.

Most often, people report about annoying advertisements that are redirecting them to unknown websites. It happens because SecurityUtility adware is an ad-supported program that is used for affiliate marketing. Besides, it is capable of accumulating people's non-personally identifiable information, such as:
- IP addresses,
- search queries,
- the language you are using and so on.
Officially, this information is used for generating relevant ads but there is no guarantee that it can't be reached by unknown parties. If 'Ads by SecurityUtility', 'brought to you by SecurityUtility', SecurityUtility ads' and similar alerts are bothering you during your search sessions, you can get rid of them by removing this useless program from the computer.
For SecurityUtility removal, you can follow a guide down below or rely on an antivirus program. We recommend using SpyHunterCombo Cleaner or MalwarebytesMalwarebytes because with help from a reliable security tool you will find all serious infections too.
If more serious threats were present, we suggest using FortectIntego after you have removed all the viruses. This tool can be used as a great solution to repair system components.
Avoid potentially unwanted programs by installing new software very carefully
Adware is usually spread bundled with various freeware and shareware. This particular program is very similar to WebEnhance and WebCheck and many other adware applications. Although all these programs are specifically targeted at German users, it doesn't mean that they cannot spread further. Such and similar adware can be constantly updated in order to change one or another feature.
As researches show, this program is mostly spread with a help of other questionable programs. This tricky distribution method is called 'bundling'. The principle is quite simple – a free program is bundled with additional applications, such as browser extensions, add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars, etc. that are cleverly hidden in order to help them infiltrate computers undetected. So, they are installed right after you install free software. Don't worry. It is not impossible to block adware. One of the most reliable ways is to install reputable anti-spyware.
Moreover, you should change your point of view on the installation process. If you find a 'next' button, it doesn't mean that everything you have to do is to press it. No. If you want to keep your computer secure, try to find as much information about your desired program as you can.
We recommend reading the End-user license agreement and find out if this program carries any additional applications. Select the Advanced or Custom installation option and closely follow the entire process. Such simple steps should help you to prevent access to various adware in the future.
Easy ways to remove SecurityUtility from your computer
You should never ignore suspicious signs on your computer that indicate something is wrong. If you are annoyed by redirects, pop-up ads, and similar activities, do hesitate and eliminate SecurityUtility. It is not difficult to delete this questionable program. You should simply perform the steps shown below in the correct order or use a reputable security program.
Also, even after successful SecurityUtility removal, remember to be more careful in the future. We recommend always use the Custom/Advanced installation method and install new applications only from trusted sources.
