AdsAlert is a potentially unwanted program that causes problems by showing annoying ads
AdsAlert is a very disturbing application that should better be kept away from your computer's system. However, it is genuine adware and potentially unwanted program (PUP), so it means that it may slither onto your computer without requiring authorization directly.
Right after that, it may start displaying commercial advertisements (pop-ups, pop-unders, banners, in-text links) on every website that you visit. The majority of adware inform people about various commercial deals, discounts, coupons, and similar things so do AdsAlert adware.
Of course, the majority of the 'Ads by AdsAlert' may look very appealing for you because they are prepared according to your browsing habits and preferences. For that, this adware usually installs its extension to your web browser, applies cookie tracking, and collects personally non-identifiable information about you, for example:
- search terms,
- websites visited,
- data entered,
- clicks,
- IP address,
- PC's location,
- email address, and so on.
You should better ignore all AdsAlert ads because their solemn purpose is to make people visit predetermined websites; so, it does not mean that they will provide you with the best prices or the best offers. In contrast, these ads may cause redirects to unknown domains that you are not willing to visit, or some of them may even appear to be really questionable.
According to the latest reports, AdsAlert redirects can also make people visit unsafe websites that may be involved in the distribution of other potentially unwanted programs or even viruses. This is why it can be dangerous to click on such links.

Therefore, if you are not willing to allow third parties to access your browsing history, accumulate information about you, and want to stay away from unsafe websites, you should remove AdsAlert as soon as possible. This is the only way to avoid various problems.
Ultimate AdsAlert removal can be ensured with the help of a reputable anti-spyware, such as SpyHunterCombo Cleaner, MalwarebytesMalwarebytes, or another powerful anti-spyware. We also provide helpful tips at the bottom of this article.
Adware enters the computer in very simple ways
This particular hijacker is introduced as an application that is supposed to block commercial messages during your browsing. Isn't it controversial? On the one hand, it promises to free your browsing from advertising, while, on the other hand, it may start displaying its own ads that may guide you to really suspicious websites.
As we have already mentioned, the adware may infiltrate your computer without even being noticed. Usually, this happens when you download another free program from a third-party website without paying much attention to the installation process. Besides, that may happen if you click on fake software update alerts or browse through phishing websites.
If you want to protect your computer from such and similar PUPs, first of all, make sure that your anti-spyware is updated or install a decent anti-malware from a reputable download source. Besides, you should always apply Advanced or Custom mode for installing freeware because it will disclose all available checkboxes and give you a chance to reject 'additional components,' such as add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars, or extensions.
In case PUP has already invaded your PC, you might want to remove it. Please read this article till the end to find useful removal instructions.
