What is PackageTracking Toolbar?
PackageTracking by Mindspark is potentially unwanted program, which may trick you into installing it after convincing you that it’s a very useful tool. However, we think that its appearance requires immediate removal. No matter that this program presents itself as a package tracker, it belongs to the ‘hijacker’ and ‘potentially unwanted program’ categories what means that the only thing it seeks is promoting its affiliate parties. If you have already installed PackageTracking hijacker and started receiving tons of pop-ups, banner ads, in-text links and other commercial content, please do not fall for believing that this content is displayed by websites that you like to visit. Keep in mind that this is caused by PackageTracking toolbar, which has an intention to promote third-party merchandise or increase the rank of affiliate websites. There is no guarantee that each of these sites is safe. To prevent exposing your computer to various cyber threats and revealing information about you to unknown parties, we recommend you not to install PackageTracking on your computer. Another noteworthy fact is related to tracking. PackageTracking is spread in a bundle with cookies that are installed on the system without asking for explicit permission. Right after that, they may start collecting information about your search terms, favorite websites, clicks, PC’s IP address and its location. No matter that such data is considered as personally non-identifiable, some personal details may also be included and may reach unknown third parties. If you don’t want to run into serious privacy-related issues, you should remove Package Tracking Toolbar from your computer. In order to get rid of each of its components, run a full system scan with FortectIntego or other decent anti-malware and remove this adware for good.

How can PackageTracking hijack my computer?
PackageTracking is not a malicious computer infection that may cause havoc on it. However, it may lead you to various issues that are related to your PC’s operating system, such as tons of ads, redirects and other activities that may start disrupting you while you are browsing on the web. However, if you are not willing to find yourself in the advertising activity, you can try to prevent potentially unwanted programs and their appearance on your computer. The main thing that you have to remember is that you should be more careful with the free downloads. Keep in mind that the majority of free programs are filled with optional components, such as PackageTracking. The most of them, especially the ones that are distributed via third party websites, such as Cnet, Soft32, Download, or Softonic, come bundled with other third-party components (add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars, extensions). Therefore, if you want to prevent adwares, browser hijackers, and other PUPs, you must be as focused on the installation process as possible. Make sure that you select Advanced/Custom installation mode and read everything that is given during the installation process. If you see the ‘optional download’ that is offered to you by default, uncheck it and then finish the installation process.
