What do you need to know about Palmodeal?
Palmodeal is a web browser extension for Google Chrome. It has been attributed to the ‘adware’ and ‘potentially unwanted programs’ (PUP) categories due to the following reasons: stealthy infiltration, misleading advertising, unauthorized browser’s modifications, data collection, and so on. Therefore, if you suspect Palmodeal adware to be hiding in your PC’s system, we highly recommend you to take corresponding actions and remove it from the system.
Although this adware is usually spread bundled with other freewares/sharewares and infiltrates computers without being recognized, in order not to raise suspicions and look more reliable, it has the official website that we have closely analyzed. Look what we’ve found on the EULA:
Please note: PALMODEAL does not, either expressly or implicitly, endorse, recommend or in any manner, assume any responsibility for any third-party content, products, services or any torts or damages incurred by you as a result of, or in connection with, your use of PALMODEAL or third-party vendor. Furthermore, PALMODEAL does not guarantee that third-party prices are the lowest or makes any representations about any products or services provided by third parties.
Thus, this excerpt provides evidence how controversial this app is. Apparently it’s just another adware that is used for displaying third-party advertisements that cannot be trusted. Thus, keeping in mind that “Ads by Palmodeal” or “Palmodeal Ads” are predetermined and can hardly present you with reliable content, avoid clicking on them no matter how trustworthy they may look. Otherwise, Palmodeal redirects can expose you to unreliable websites that promote suspicious merchandise, various services or fake software updates. Another noteworthy fact is that this adware uses tracking cookies. These are small files used for gathering and sharing browsing-related data (non-personal), but there is always a small chance that some pieces of personally identifiable data will also be leaked. Therefore, we recommend you to use FortectIntego and remove Palmodeal virus from the system without a delay.

What are the distribution methods of Palmodeal adware?
While Palmodeal has the official website, in most of the cases it infiltrates computers bundled with other freewares. That’s why it has been categorized as a potentially unwanted program (PUP). Fortunately, it’s quite easy to prevent software packages from entering your PC’s system without being noticed. For that, it’s a must to select ‘Advanced’ or ‘Custom’ installation mode and carefully monitor the entire installation process. By the way, do not run through the check boxes. Make sure that you untick the ones that contain installers of unfamiliar add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars or extensions.
Palmodeal FAQ
Question. Is Palmodeal a virus? I cannot find it on my computer, but it obviously generates ads during my browsing.
Answer. Fortunately, Palmodeal does not feature technical traits of a virus. It cannot affect your PC’s system on its own. Nevertheless, it may start displaying misleading third-party ads, cause redirects to unreliable domains, diminish web browser’s performance, weaken PC’s security, and may even help other PUPs to enter your PC’s system.
