Rapsio is a potentially unwanted program that changes your browser's settings and shows misleading ads

Rapsio is a shady ad-supported software that triggers redirects to numerous bogus third-party websites. Therefore, if you have noticed that your browser’s homepage was suddenly changed to Rapsio.com, you should look for adware on your computer.

Although it is not a malicious computer threat, it is dangerous to keep Rapsio installed on your computer system because it can completely disrupt your attempts to use a web browser. This adware-type program delivers misleading web ads and triggers redirects to shady Internet sites.

Once installed, Rapsio malware will change your homepage to Rapsio.com. You might also notice that you are getting redirected to this site repeatedly during your browsing sessions.

What is more, Rapsio redirects can lead you to other shady websites as well. This potentially unwanted program (PUP) acts like that because its main purpose is to advertise affiliate links and get paid when people click on them. This argument is taken from its Privacy Policy:

The Site may provide links to the websites of our business partners. If you link to any of these third party web sites, this Privacy Policy will not apply to your use of those sites. […] Despite our reasonable efforts, no security measures are impenetrable, and any connection to the Site or information transmitted to us or to the Site will be at your own risk.

Sadly, third-party links that this program presents can lead you to high-risk web pages filled with questionable offers to install free apps or bogus software updates. Please, do not click on ads by Rapsio because they can force you to visit malicious websites!

This adware tracks your clicks on links, browsing history and search queries, also browser type, geographical location and pages viewed via the Site. if you would rather not share such information with such a suspicious program, you should remove Rapsio virus from your machine.

Rapsio removal

The easiest way to delete Rapsio is to install a reliable antivirus program and run a system scan with it. We recommend using SpyHunterCombo Cleaner, MalwarebytesMalwarebytes, or any other powerful security tool but you can try to remove PUP manually too. You will find explanations on how to remove adware at the bottom of this article.

Additional unwanted programs can be installed during a quick installation

As we have already explained, Rapsio is an advertising service, which promotes affiliate links with a help of PUP, which is distributed using quite an unfair technique. It is distributed along with other free software, and you can install it as an additional application if you tend to choose Default or Standard installation settings.

If you do not want to find suspicious software on your system all of sudden, you must carefully monitor the installation process whenever you install new software on your PC. Take note that the majority of free programs often present “additional/recommended downloads” that you can install alongside them, but we advise you to reject such proposals since such additions frequently prove to be useless ad-supported programs. Therefore, we recommend you to choose the Advanced or Custom installation method when installing programs and opt-out of all bonus apps added to your selected software.

Already infected with malware? Do not worry. You can get rid of annoying pop-ups just by uninstalling the adware program that generates them. We provide Rapsio removal instructions below.

Rapsio removal tutorial

Cannot stand pop-up ads? Then remove Rapsio virus immediately. If you are eager to delete this computer parasite manually, please scroll the page down to find out how to remove adware. This PUP only seeks to promote affiliate marketing and gain pay-per-click revenue, however, we doubt that you want to be involved in such business and let this app use you as a tool to gain money.

You can uninstall Rapsio.com virus using the manual removal instructions; however, you can also opt for the automatic removal tool and get rid of Rapsio.com automatically. The antivirus program will not only quickly remove all threats, but also protect against them in the future.
