Reasons why should not trust OhMyTabs:

OhMyTabs virus is promoted as a tool providing a great range of valuable web browsing features. Unfortunately, it is a dubious application actually designed to inject numerous, incredibly annoying online ads into your browser to generate advertising revenue. Once on the device, the virus will immediately start cluttering your desktop with annoying ads, including pop-ups, pop-under ads, banners or video ads which will continuously appear in new browser tabs or windows. Usually, these ads present price comparisons, coupons for your favorite sites, bargain deals, and so on. This program promises to improve user’s browsing experience, but sadly, we doubt that any of its advertisements can be useful to you since the majority of them are related to questionable third-party websites.

When this adware takes root in your system, it may start generating ads labeled as “OhMyTabs Ads”, “Ads by OhMyTabs” or featuring other slogans. In a way, it is a good indicator helping you to avoid them. Nevertheless, because they are so numerous and annoying, you may accidentally end up clicking on them and be redirected to some untrustworthy web pages. The main problem is that most of the time, sites to which OhMyTabs redirect its users are infectious and might try to convince you to install suspicious software, provide personal information or register on questionable websites. Do not be fooled and do not agree to install any shady software from random third-party websites, also do not provide any personal data to them. For the safety of your data and health of your computer, remove OhMyTabs adware from your system immediately. It is nothing more than a potentially unwanted program (PUP) which is hardly useful. You can delete it with a help of trustworthy FortectIntego anti-malware utility.

It there a way to protect your computer from this virus?

You don’t necessarily have to search for this program on the Internet to find it and download it. It can enter your computer system silently. Many PUPs like OhMyTabs hijack computers when people install them together with other free programs. They spread around the Internet using bundling technique, which means they travel around along with other software. You can accidentally install it along freeware or shareware, and to prevent this from happening, you have to adjust software installation settings. Instead of opting for Default or Basic settings, choose Advanced or Custom option, and then eliminate all additional components by deselecting them. Stay clear of suspicious applications, browser add-ons, offers to change your home and new tab page, or default search.

Why you should remove OhMyTabs from your computer:

There is no doubt that ads that appear on the PC screen may be very annoying especially when they are as well untrustworthy, and even one click on one of them can lead to all sorts of web pages. If you are already tired of constantly trying to evade them, you should hesitate no longer and remove OhMyTabs from your computer. You can do that using our recommended software or manually. If you choose the first option, make sure you obtain a reputable antivirus utility. The Internet is full of corrupted malware scanners, so it is always recommended to read feedback about the software before trusting your computer to it.
