Check Weather is a PUP capable of disrupting your searches

Check Weather is a potentially unwanted program which can be downloaded to the system just like any other add-on[1]. This program enters the computers as a useful tool designed to help people receive the latest information about local weather. You can get information about the current weather hourly and check the forecast for the next 5 days.
Unfortunately, besides these seemingly-legitimate activities, Check Weather can also initiate unwanted changes on your computer. It can alter each of your web browsers and then start using third party links to redirect you to sponsored websites.
The most annoying method used to do that is closely related to pop-up ads[2]. This adware can also fill your favorite websites with coupons, banners and other adverts that are displayed for the same aim. However, keep in mind that visiting such websites is highly dangerous as you can be infected with malware. To prevent such dangers, make sure you install FortectIntego on your computer. You can use the same program to remove Check Weather from the system.
We should also not forget the fact that we found about the owners of this adware. It seems that they can use Check Weather to track their users by using cookies and similar components that travel together with this program. Typically, this program collects information related to people's search terms, mostly-clicked ads, frequently used websites, and so on.
No matter how harmless these details look, they still can be used to initiate malicious activities against the user. You can use the guide at the end of this article which will show you how to perform Check Weather removal.

Preventing this app from infiltrating your computer
As we have mentioned, you can download Check Weather from its official website. However, it can also be downloaded in a bundle with other apps as a “prize” for the user. Unfortunately, such software bundles can hardly improve your daily searches, so we highly recommend avoiding them.
To prevent ‘’bundling’’, you need to start monitoring installation of free programs by selecting Custom or Advanced installation method. We do not recommend opting for Quick or Recommended installation parameters because they won't let you choose what components you need to install.
After selecting Advanced installation, make sure you follow the entire installation process of the program carefully to prevent optional downloads. In this case, you need to find the check mark saying that you want to install Check Weather and uncheck it. Otherwise, this extension will be allowed to make changes on your computer and initiate other activities that are considered as “possibly dangerous”.
If you already are have this PUP on your computer, you should also see how annoying and aggressive this program is. To escape from Check Weather ads, tracking and similar activities, use a guide given below and uninstall this unwanted browser add-on.

Since the developers aim to protect their product from easy elimination, they infiltrate their add-ons by the enterprise policy which prevents the computer user from disabling or deleting it.
