Windows Health Center – app that shows fake notifications about your computer health

Windows Health Center

Windows Health Center is a clone of Windows Shield Center that produces fake alerts on your Windows computer with an intent to mislead. The main goal – make users believe that their PCs are heavily infected with malware and adware and that the only way to remediate it is by purchasing the licensed version of the app.

In reality, it is nothing but a scam operated by cybercriminals that seek users' money. These hoax techniques are often referred to as social engineering attacks. In any case, if you found this rogue operating on your machine, likely, it is also infected with a Trojan, so please take steps in order to terminate malicious files from your system correctly.

Name Windows Health Center
Type Fake antivirus, scam
Distribution Already installed Trojans, drive-by downloads
Danger Monetary losses, leak of personal information, installation of other viruses
Removal Perform a full system scan with SpyHunterCombo Cleaner or another reputable anti-malware
System fix Rogue can serious damage your system files. Use FortectIntego to remediate the system after malware is terminated

This fake security program enters your computer through Trojans and software vulnerabilities, although it is also possible that you may have installed it from a suspicious third-party website. Therefore, in order to avoid such unfortunate circumstances in the future, equip your machine with reputable antimalware software and avoid visiting high-risk websites.

Windows Health Center imitates a system scan and then states that your computer is infected with viruses and has numerous errors. Here is one of the examples:

Windows Health Center will display fake alerts stating that your computer is infected with keyloggers and other malicious software. It will rate major components of your system by given scores, which are always very low. It will also block other programs on your computer randomly and states that they are infected or potentially harmful.

Allegedly, the only way to fix these errors is to pay for a full version of this useless program. Of course, you shouldn't do that because this app is a scam, and it is not capable of finding and deleting online threats. Besides, it won't fix any errors simply because they are all fake.

Fake scan results are a method to scare you into purchasing the program. You should remove Windows Health Center as soon as possible; otherwise, it may cause even more problems. You can delete it manually or by using an effective antivirus application. Do not forget to update it first, however.

Effectively fix your machine after a virus infection

Once a computer is infected with malware, Windows is greatly altered. Good examples include deletion or corruption of important DLL files or alterations to Master Boot Record (MRB).

Once a system file is damaged by a virus, antimalware software is not capable of doing anything about it, leaving it just the way it is or terminating it altogether. Consequently, Windows might start to malfunction, resulting in crashes, errors, Bleu Screen of Death crashes, and much more.

Instead of reinstalling Windows, you can employ a powerful repair tool FortectIntego. If can identify and replace damaged system components automatically, so you don't have to. It can also clean your web browsers quickly (alternatively, you can find the manual instructions below).
