Dark IRC – hazardous malware distributed via popular chatting platform

Dark IRC is a malicious parasite that usually infects the system through the IRC network after a careless user accepts a suspicious DCC file transfer proposal. After this happens, this Trojan infects IRC client and starts performing other harmful actions, such as disabling antiviral protection.
What is more, Dark IRC can also give the anonymous hacker remote access to the PC and, as a result of this, an ability to carry out different destructive actions that could include stealing passwords, private data (documents, databases, pictures, videos, etc.) or changing critical system components.
