What is AMS.exe? Should I remove it?
AMS.exe is a malicious executable file that starts a virus called AntiMalwareSuite. This is a rogue anti-spyware that uses misleading techniques for convincing its victims that their PCs are infected and that they should buy its licensed version. Of course, this program has an empty virus data base and is not capable of detecting viruses on the system. All what it seeks is to steal people's money by making them scared. In addition to that, its owners may take over people's banking information and empty their bank accounts completely.
Once installed on the system, AMS.exe is used to launch certain components of the virus. It can also be used to update the virus, disable anti-virus or generate misleading ads when computer is on. Even if the AMS.exe file does nothing suspicious, its presence indicates that your computer is infected with a particular threat. Please, do NOT leave this file running on your system.
If you noticed AMS.exe in your TAsk Manager, you are highly advised to scan the system with reputable anti-spyware and make sure that it is free of AntiMalwareSuite. For that we recommend using FortectIntego. In order to delete executable AMS.exe and terminate all the processes it started, please try RegCure Pro.
