removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Adware

What is Browser Good?

Browser Good is a web browser plug-in that has been categorized as an adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP). It is similar to other adware-type programs due to the fact that it seeks to promote affiliate websites and make people visit them. It’s one of those programs that can get inside computers in two ways. First of all, people can install it manually from its official websites if they get intrigued by the promises to receive the best deals, discounts, promo codes, coupons and so on. However, it can also get inside random computers along with other free programs. In this case, people may not be aware that they have installed Browser Good app because typically it’s disclosed in a tricky manner and people accept to install it unconsciously. That’s why you have to be very careful every time when you download and install free software.

Beware that Browser Good adware is capable of increasing vulnerability of the system, slowing it down, and implementing various modifications of web browsers. After that, it starts displaying tons of commercial advertisements on every web browser (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, and Internet Explore). We highly do not recommend clicking on the ‘Ads by Browser Good’ due to the fact that they may be sponsored by third parties and displayed with one main intention – to redirect people to predetermined websites. Since you can never be sure what websites this plug-in promotes, it’s redirects pose a high-risk of another potentially unwanted program or even virus infiltration. That’s why it’s risky to keep it on the system. The easiest way to get rid of it is to run a full system scan with ReimageIntego.

How can Browser Good hijack my computer?

As we have already mentioned, Browser Good virus can be installed on computers from it’s official website and in a bundle with other free programs. However, no matter how it gets inside, it implements the same activities and may pose harm to computer’s security. The only way to keep your PC safe is to eliminate Browser Good virus for good. In order prevent installation of such misleading programs, you have to stay away from various add-ons, plug-ins, toolbars of extensions that are related to ‘coupons’, ‘deals’, ‘save’, ‘discount’ and similar terms. Every time when you decide to install free software, make sure that you select Advanced or Custom installation option and deselect additional components that you certainly do not need. Otherwise, you can easily end up with a potentially unwanted program, such as Browser Good on your computer.

Access your website securely from any location

When you work on the domain, site, blog, or different project that requires constant management, content creation, or coding, you may need to connect to the server and content management service more often. The best solution for creating a tighter network could be a dedicated/fixed IP address.

If you make your IP address static and set to your device, you can connect to the CMS from any location and do not create any additional issues for the server or network manager that needs to monitor connections and activities. VPN software providers like Private Internet Access can help you with such settings and offer the option to control the online reputation and manage projects easily from any part of the world.

Recover files after data-affecting malware attacks

While much of the data can be accidentally deleted due to various reasons, malware is one of the main culprits that can cause loss of pictures, documents, videos, and other important files. More serious malware infections lead to significant data loss when your documents, system files, and images get encrypted. In particular, ransomware is is a type of malware that focuses on such functions, so your files become useless without an ability to access them.

Even though there is little to no possibility to recover after file-locking threats, some applications have features for data recovery in the system. In some cases, Data Recovery Pro can also help to recover at least some portion of your data after data-locking virus infection or general cyber infection.
