CloudScout is the PUP that shows deceptive material to keep the user engaged

CloudScout is introduced as a very useful browser plug-in that is capable of blocking unsafe websites, such as pornographic, gambling, or the ones that promote racism and violence. Unfortunately, the majority of people uninstall it only a few days after its installation due to the fact that it is not only useless but also poses harm to computers' security.
It has been categorized as an adware and a potentially unwanted program (PUP) due to the negative traits that it has and seeks to expose on the target computer. In fact, it's an ad-supported extension that is supported by suspicious third parties for the ability to display sponsored advertisements.
Even its EULA proves that:
…“CloudScout application” provided to you free of charge and is sponsored by 3rd party advertisement and sponsored content. Such ads may include banners ad, pop-ups and pop-unders, text enrichment, shopping comparison and coupons and may include links, URLs, features, components, images, text, offers and more.
These offers help third parties to generate pay-per-click revenue and boost traffic to predetermined websites. However, there is no guarantee that each of these parties is harmless, so if you want to avoid CloudScout redirects to unsafe websites, you should stay away from 'Ads by CloudScout' and never click on them.
Be aware that those ads may appear in a very attractive form because they pre-selected according to your recent searches. Nevertheless, do not fall for this because such activity is unfair and can be associated with privacy violations.
That's because this suspicious adware installs tracking cookies and collect personally non-identifiable information and some pieces of personally identifiable information in order to generate personalized ads and attract your attention. You may need to pay more attention to such changes in settings and make sure to recover altered parts using FortectIntego or a similar tool.
However, no one can assure that sensitive data won't be affected as well. There are various PUPs that can get installed behind your back. Therefore, get rid of the CloudScout virus automatically with anti-spyware and prevent various issues in advance.

How hijackers and PUPs end up on the PC
If you have recently noticed that your machine runs slower than it used to, that it connects to the Internet suspiciously, delivers tons of intrusive pop-up, banner, in-text, and other forms of ads that cause redirects to unknown websites, there is no doubt that your computer has been infected by an adware-type program.
If those ads are not marked in any way, you should check the control panel and look for suspicious programs there for removal. However, in most of the cases, those commercials are marked as:
- 'Ads by CloudScout',
- 'CloudScout ads',
- 'Bought by CloudScout',
- and so on.
If you see such ads out of nowhere, it means that you have recently installed freeware with a bundle. Be very careful with your downloads from the Internet these days because bundled installers are getting increasingly popular and people frequently get tricked into installing unwanted programs without being aware of them.
To avoid this happening, you should always pay an appropriate amount of attention to the installation process of every freeware. Make sure that you select Advanced or Custom installation option and unselect 'optional downloads' that are offered to you while installing other free program.
No matter how attractive additional programs may seem, be aware that in most of the cases they appear to be potentially unwanted programs that later need to be removed.
