Computer is infected with Shopping Deals virus. What to do?

If you have Shopping Deals virus on your computer, you must have already noticed various ads on your favorite websites. Some of them report about sales, others announce about the latest deals that you checked online some time ago. Sounds like a great opportunity to save some money, right? Unfortunately, but we do NOT recommend clicking these ads and visiting these domains promising to help you save the money because these third party sites can be malicious! If you have been dealing with Shopping Deals ads for some time, you should know that their aim is to redirect you to sponsored websites that are trying to increase their page rank or sales. In exchange for this task, the developer of this browser add-on collects the money. For increasing its income, the company that works behind Shopping Deals app has also started spreading it with the help of “bundling” method. This method helps suspicious programs and potentially unwanted applications spread around without being noticed. Typically, they are hidden inside the freeware as optional components and, if you don't monitor these components, you can end up with such PUP on your computer. If you think that you are a victim of bundling, don't waste your time and take care of Shopping Deals removal. For that, we recommend using Reimage Reimage Cleaner Intego.

Once installed, this adware-type program leaves its files on each of your web browsers. It is compatible with Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer web browsers that are forced to launch it each time they become active. As a result, this add-on starts initiating various marketing campaigns in order to earn easy money from advertising. Its victim starts receiving various advertisements (pop-ups, pop-unders, banners, in-text links, etc.) which mostly use this slogan: “Brought by Shopping Deals”. As we have already mentioned, these ads can pose a serious risk to your computer and personal data, so you must stay away from them. In order to prevent their appearance, you must remove this adware from your machine. The easiest way to remove Shopping Deals virus is to use professional software or follow the steps that are given below.

Infiltration methods used by this commercial add-on:

Two methods are applied for spreading this program around. It can be downloaded from well-known download sources, such as Cnet, Softonic, Soft32, and other websites that present it as a useful shopping helper. However, you must have already understood that it cannot help you with this task. In addition, Shopping Deals hijack can be initiated with the help of “bundling” which helps suspicious browser add-ons infiltrate computers without even being noticed. In most of the cases, this method is fulfilled with a help of download managers, PDF creators, various media players, or similar freeware. It's a tricky way to make people install potentially unwanted programs without asking them for a direct permission. However, you can prevent their infiltration by taking your time and monitoring installation of the freeware. Make sure you select “Advanced” or “Custom” installation settings while downloading the program that you need and uncheck ticks saying that you agree to install Shopping Deals virus on your computer. It's very important to make people stop thinking that it's enough to keep hitting the “Next” button after selecting “Quick” or “Basic” installation settings of the freeware.

Choose a proper web browser and improve your safety with a VPN tool

Online spying has got momentum in recent years and people are getting more and more interested in how to protect their privacy online. One of the basic means to add a layer of security – choose the most private and secure web browser. Although web browsers can't grant a full privacy protection and security, some of them are much better at sandboxing, HTTPS upgrading, active content blocking, tracking blocking, phishing protection, and similar privacy-oriented features.

Nevertheless, there's a way to add an extra layer of protection and create a completely anonymous web browsing practice with the help of Private Internet Access VPN. This software reroutes traffic through different servers, thus leaving your IP address and geolocation in disguise. Besides, it is based on a strict no-log policy, meaning that no data will be recorded, leaked, and available for both first and third parties. The combination of a secure web browser and Private Internet Access VPN will let you browse the Internet without a feeling of being spied or targeted by criminals.

Recover files after data-affecting malware attacks

While much of the data can be accidentally deleted due to various circumstances, malware is also one of the main culprits that can cause loss of pictures, documents, videos, and other important files. Potentially unwanted programs may clear files that keep the application from running smoothly.

More serious malware infections lead to significant data loss when your documents, system files, or images get locked. In particular, ransomware is is a type of malware that focuses on such functions, so your files become useless without an ability to access them. Even though there is little to no possibility to recover after file-locking threats, some applications have features for data recovery in the system.

In some cases, Data Recovery Pro can also help to recover at least some portion of your data after data-locking virus infection or general cyber infection.
