Dealclicks.us is a domain used for redirects to highly suspicious sites

Dealclicks.us is a website that is used for redirecting visitors to various sites that usually promote dubious programs, technical support scams and similar content that might put user’s privacy and security at risk. Typically, these redirects start after the infiltration of adware.[1]

Dealclicks.us virus usually spreads as an ad-supported application in freeware or shareware packages. This distribution method allows a potentially unwanted program (PUP) getting into the system unnoticed. Soon after the hijack, it might alter Windows Registry and targeted browser’s settings to start these activities:
- browser redirects to dealclicks.us, a.dealclicks.us, free.dealclicks.us and similar domains which trigger two or three redirects to different URLs until a user ends up on a suspicious landing page;
- delivery of misleading pop-ups that promote bogus security programs, PC optimization tools, and other questionable applications;
- displaying fake software update alerts;
- turning random text into hyperlinks.
Dealclicks.us adware often displays ads[2] and redirects to sites that are high-risk, meaning that users might be tricked into installing malware, calling fake technicians to fix non-existent computer problems or reveal personal information to cyber criminals. Therefore, freezing and crashing browser is nothing compared to these possible threats.
Additionally, Dealclicks might track information about users. It’s hard to find adware that does not collect at least non-personally identifiable information. Ad-supported programs typically collect information related to user’s browsing history and habits, clicked ads and search results, etc.
This information allows creating targeted ads and flooding hijacked browsers with even more unwanted advertisements. However, interest-based ads might be more attractive and encouraging to click. Hence, authors of adware have higher chances to increase income from clicks.
As we have already mentioned, the content displayed by Dealclicks.us might not be safe. So, you have to avoid it. However, it might not be as easy as it may seem. Hijacked Chrome or Firefox might open a new tab with questionable site anytime you browse the web.
To stop such activities, you have to remove Dealclicks.us virus and reset affected web browser. If you want to get rid of adware manually, you should follow the guide at the end of the article. However, it’s quite a challenging task.
We highly recommend choosing automatic Dealclicks.us removal which requires scanning the affected device with anti-malware software, such as FortectIntego. After system scan, you should reset the browser as well. It helps to delete tracking cookies that may have been installed by PUP.

“Unpacking” software bundles helps to avoid adware infection
The program which is responsible for bringing browser redirect virus to the computer typically spreads bundled with free programs. Freeware and shareware often spread browser extensions, PC optimization software, and other PUPs, so you have to be attentive when downloading the free software.
Security experts from senzavirus.it[3] remind about a necessity to use reliable download sources, meaning that you should stop using torrents and similar high-risk platforms that are often used to spread malware. Stick to publishers’ sites only.
Additionally, you have to use Advanced/Custom installation instead of Quick/Recommended settings. The latter installer does not openly disclose about third-party software and installs it silently. Meanwhile, Advanced setup reveals optional downloads and allows rejecting their installation.
Get rid of Dealclicks.us redirect virus
The quickest way to remove dealclicks.us virus is to run a full system scan with an updated anti-malware/anti-spyware tool. Once you clean adware-related components from the system, you have to reset all affected web browsers.
However, you can also opt for manual dealclicks.us removal and delete the virus without security software. We have prepared the guidelines below, but we want to warn that you have to be careful. Otherwise, unwanted advertisements and redirects will come back.
