What happens when a computer gets affected by Doseofhealthy.com browser hijacker?

Doseofhealthy.com virus is a sneaky program that can be installed along with free software without user’s knowledge. Such apps are considered to be potentially unwanted, and so security experts advise to remove Doseofhealthy.com redirect virus as soon as possible. As you can see, we have mentioned redirects, and if your computer has been affected with this program, you definitely know what are we talking about. Once installed, this program replaces previous homepage address with Doseofhealthy.com/start.php and loads this page whenever the user launches the infected web browser. This URL also appears as soon as the victim opens a new tab. Soon enough it becomes apparent that this URL is being monitored by some shady program that the user knows nothing about. What is more, this program also adjusts search results provided by the search engine that the indicated URL provides, and presents numerous paid third-party links for the user along the organic search results.

Questions about Doseofhealthy.com virus

Sadly, these search results cannot be trusted, as they can lead you to suspicious third-party websites filled with questionable content. For example, you can get redirected to gambling or adult-oriented content sites, or thrown onto a website that offers free downloads. Such Internet pages are considered untrustworthy and can quickly compromise user’s PC if he or she clicks on the wrong link or opens a corrupted file. We do not believe that search results leading to insecure websites should be provided for computer users at all, so we recommend you to remove Doseofhealthy.com browser hijacker and use a different search tool instead. Doseofhealthy.com virus

How did your computer get infected with this browser hijacker?

Most of the browser hijackers are considered to be legitimate programs, no matter how annoying and unpleasant they are. Despite the fact that they can slither into the computer system unnoticed, they are not malicious, and they do not belong to malware category. They are mostly distributed with the help of bundling technique, which allows spreading several free programs together. Let’s say you have just downloaded a free program from the Internet. Have you ever thought how important it is to choose the right installation option? In fact, choosing the right settings can protect your computer from PUPs and malware. That is why we always recommend choosing Custom and Advanced installation options – these allow the victim to reject bundled software and install only the program that he/she needs. Do not rely on Standard or Default settings as these can silently set up additional applications on your PC system.
