Remove Fulltabsearch.com virus (Removal Instructions) - Nov 2016 update

removal by Lucia Danes - -   Also known as Search.fulltabsearch.com | Type: Browser hijacker

How dangerous is Fulltabsearch.com virus? It appeared on my computer out of nowhere!

Fulltabsearch.com (or Search.Fulltabsearch.com) is a questionable piece of software which can also be called as a browser hijacker. No matter how actively people have been calling this search engine a virus, this name seems to be a little bit too harsh for it. However, Search.Fulltabsearch.com can easily be added to a group of browser hijackers because it infiltrates the system without users’ awareness, hijacks all of web browsers and starts causing redirects to sponsored websites. You can run into this PUP without understanding that because it has been actively spread in a bundle with freeware and shareware. Once it hijacks the system, it starts functioning in a very unpleasant way. To stop its continuous reappearance on your web browser, you need to remove Search.fulltabsearch.com virus. No matter that it does not belong to spyware, malware and similar categories, you should still use Reimage Reimage Cleaner Intego to remove it from the system. More information about its functionality will be revealed in this guide, so you should keep reading if you want to know more.

The developers of Fulltabsearch.com browser hijacker claim that it is a must-have Chrome New Tab for social and media users, which can enhance the browsing experience. Unfortunately, it is just an objectionable browser add-on, which configures browser settings and changes new tab and homepage settings. It can be installed on Windows 7, 8, 10, Vista, and XP OS, however, no matter which OS you are running, you should stay clear of this PUP. It wants computer users to use a particular web search engine, which, unfortunately, is very unreliable. Reportedly, it causes web redirects that lead to questionable web domains, so if you are disposed to use this search engine, be prepared to experience Fulltabsearch.com redirect problem which can take you to dark web places. Although some of these websites might look interesting, entertaining and safe, do not be fooled.

Questions about Fulltabsearch.com virus

For your sake, we recommend you to be prepared and remember a few things that can help you to keep your computer safe and virus-free. When you are exploring a website that you have never seen before, especially one that you had been redirected to, do not rely on it and never believe that it is entirely safe, even if it looks so. Avoid downloading software from such sites, and never reveal your personal details, for example, credit card information. Of course, the best decision would be to take care of Fulltabsearch.com removal and try to use another search engine. You can do it with your own hands by following instructions given below this article, or automatically. If you decide to use another anti-spyware program, make sure that it is a reliable one!

How to protect your computer from such programs?

As we have already mentioned, programs like Fulltabsearch.com hijack systems rather easily because they are distributed via software bundles (packages). You can download software packages from untrustworthy download websites or file sharing networks. They look like individual programs, but if you opened Advanced/Custom installation settings within their setup, you would notice that they suggest installing several additional programs alongside them. You have to refuse to install these optional downloads because typically they are nothing but adware-type programs or browser hijackers. If you think that selecting Default or Standard option will ensure a safe and “right” installation procedure, you are wrong. These installation options will install all optional components without even notifying you.

How to remove Fulltabsearch.com and set another web page as homepage?

Fulltabsearch.com removal must be implemented without a delay. There is no reason to rely on Full Tab search, as its objective is not to provide you with relevant and accurate information that you’re looking for, but to cause redirects and generate pay-per-click profit when you visit its affiliate web pages. Sadly, these can be dangerous. Our advice is to get rid of Fulltabsearch.com and use a better search engine. If you are not sure what is the right way to uninstall this PUP, we suggest following instructions provided below. Then simply change your homepage via browser’s settings, and also the new tab page, if you want to remove Search.Fulltabsearch.com virus with all of its components.
