Jake Doevan · Computer technology expert

I am constantly seeing “ads by Interstitial Information” on my screen. These ads cover the content of the web pages that I want to explore; so it has actually become impossible to tolerate these ads. I want to remove them ASAP! Can you provide me a solution?

Interstitial Information adware – what do you need to know about this doubtful software?

InterstitialInformation adware is an obtrusive application, which was designed to deliver various pop-ups, banners, full-page slide ads and other intrusive content that aggravates your browsing experience and also slows down your computer’s performance. If this objectionable software enters your computer, you should shortly start seeing various promotional content displayed on your screen. Such ads commonly have titles, for example:

  • “ads by Interstitial Information”;
  • “Interstitial Information ads”;
  • “powered by Interstitial Information”;
  • “brought to you by Interstitial Information”;
  • “Interstitial Information deals” and so on.

ads by Interstitial Information

Usually, if computer users get infected by adware, they start thinking that something is wrong with their PC and that they need to bring their computer to a computer techie to fix it. However, in most cases, the user brings such issues to the computer by itself. It can happen if the user tends to browse carelessly. Interstitial Information ads are very dangerous and should not be clicked on; the reason you should NOT click on these ads is that they can turn you to a different domain and make you visit a third-party related website. Sadly, such sites frequently are filled with questionable content and should not be trusted. So if you receive offers from such sites to install free programs or to update programs that already exist on your computer, do NOT accept to install such software. You should never install programs from untrustworthy pages because you can easily get infected with severe computer parasites or threats. To find out if you have not infected your computer due to careless browsing, you should scan your computer with a powerful anti-malware software. We recommend using a well-known and secure program for that – FortectIntego.

How can Interstitial Information hijack my computer system?

Interstitial Information can place its files on your Windows Registry if you have recently installed a free program using “Default” or “Standard” installation method and also if you did not pay attention to the installation process or skipped the “Terms of Use” or “Privacy Policy” documents. In such scenario, you have missed all important information that was provided for you and that possibly revealed the statements about additional programs that were attached to your selected program.

In order to get to know whether the program you want to install contains optional freeware attachments or not, you have to select different installation methods. Opt for Custom or Advanced one, and then look for any bizarre statements suggesting to install bonus applications. If you happen to find any, deselect them. Then simply finish the installation process. To learn how to delete Interstitial Information virus, continue to the page 2.

How to uninstall this rogue application from my computer?
