Remove MyCalendarPlanner Toolbar (Simple Removal Guide)

removal by Olivia Morelli - - | Type: System tools

What is MyCalendarPlanner Toolbar?

MyCalendarPlanner Toolbar is a browser add-on that is compatible with all the main web browsers. It can be added to Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, and other web browsers. In some cases, it might be added to the system without user’s knowledge, and that is probably the main reason why some users start calling it as MyCalendarPlanner virus. However, this application is legitimate and does not relate to viruses, but we believe that it is fair to add it to potentially unwanted programs’ (PUP) list. When user’s heard the phrase “Calendar Planner,” they imagine some kind of a program, and now a website. However, this PUP changes browser’s settings and starts controlling browser’s startup preferences. It sets the “Open the New Tab page” option, and assigns int.search.myway.com value. This search engine provides “Enhanced Google search,” which is filled with sponsored search results. The developer of this software informs the user about relations with third-parties in its Privacy Policy document, stating that the software “may provide access to search results or other links to Third Party Partner websites or resources.”

Questions about MyCalendarPlanner Toolbar

Be very careful if you decide to visit these sites. Remember that MyCalendarPlanner is not malicious, but that does not mean that search results its search engine presents are trustworthy as well. Vice versa, you can access all sorts of websites through these search results, and even visit hazardous Internet pages. The developer of this planner states that it “does not endorse nor is responsible or liable for any content, advertising, products, or other materials on or available from such sites or resources.” We believe that you should stay away from questionable external websites because you can never know whether they are trustworthy or not. If you do not want to continue using this vague search tool, remove MyCalendarPlanner Toolbar from the PC using anti-spyware software or instructions presented at the end of this post.

How did you install this program?

There are two ways to install potentially unwanted programs – you can visit their official websites and download them from them, or install them along with other software. Most of the time, free programs travel in software bundles together with other popular freeware, so you have to decompose such packs before installing them in case you do not want to install unknown third-party software with your preferred program. Therefore, whenever you download a free program, choose Custom or Advanced settings for its installation and remove checkmarks next to such suggestions:

    • Yes, make X my new tab page;
    • Yes, install X along with Y.

Recently, the developer of this program contacted us asking us to remove this post from 2-spyware.com website. We believe that we shouldn’t do that as long as programs that we offer for the removal of MyCalendarPlanner Toolbar can detect it and help users to remove it from the system. As it is mentioned under each of download buttons, we ARE affiliated with these anti-malware programs, and while some of them are free, others can remove a virus only after purchasing them. These mentions fully fulfill each of the requirements of FTC.

Nevertheless, we have recently decided to make a revision of this and other posts that are related to this developer. We claim that all of them are described properly.

Access your website securely from any location

When you work on the domain, site, blog, or different project that requires constant management, content creation, or coding, you may need to connect to the server and content management service more often. The best solution for creating a tighter network could be a dedicated/fixed IP address.

If you make your IP address static and set to your device, you can connect to the CMS from any location and do not create any additional issues for the server or network manager that needs to monitor connections and activities. VPN software providers like Private Internet Access can help you with such settings and offer the option to control the online reputation and manage projects easily from any part of the world.

Recover files after data-affecting malware attacks

While much of the data can be accidentally deleted due to various reasons, malware is one of the main culprits that can cause loss of pictures, documents, videos, and other important files. More serious malware infections lead to significant data loss when your documents, system files, and images get encrypted. In particular, ransomware is is a type of malware that focuses on such functions, so your files become useless without an ability to access them.

Even though there is little to no possibility to recover after file-locking threats, some applications have features for data recovery in the system. In some cases, Data Recovery Pro can also help to recover at least some portion of your data after data-locking virus infection or general cyber infection.
