Remove Mysurfing123.com virus (Virus Removal Instructions)

removal by Ugnius Kiguolis - - | Type: Browser hijacker

Have you ever heard about browser hijackers? If no, then the appearance of Mysurfing123.com might surprise you. The 2-spyware research team has prepared this report to explain to you what Mysurfing123.com browser hijacker is.

What is Mysurfing123.com and how does it work?

Mysurfing123.com is an annoying and disagreeable software that can enter user’s computer without his or her permission. Thanks to the bundling method, such potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) can be spread in an unfair, but surprisingly still a legitimate way. We are going to explain what bundling is in the next part of this article. Now we are going to explain what Mysurfing123.com is.

Questions about Mysurfing123.com virus

As we have already stated, Mysurfing123.com is a browser hijacker. If this rogue program slithers to your computer, your Internet browsers are going to get affected. Mysurfing123.com hijacker installs its extensions to each available web browser on your computer. Then it starts to track your activities on the net. It is a shocking fact, but it is the truth. Mysurfing123.com virus is going to collect information about your browsing activities, for example, what pages do you visit, what search terms do you enter into search boxes, what kind of files do you download, where is your computer located (as Mysurfing123.com is capable of finding out your IP address) and so on. We do not know why Mysurfing123.com needs to collect such sensitive data.

Mysurfing123.com PUP page

However, this is not the last unpleasant fact about Mysurfing123.com. This rogue website pretends to be a reliable search engine, but in reality it is just a program that is created to invade PC users’ computers seamlessly and promote affiliate marketing. That can be achieved very easily if the user uses Mysurfing123.com search engine (which looks like Yahoo search engine, but delivers different search results). The users trust the Yahoo sign and believe that it is a safe search engine. Sadly, search results generated by Mysurfing123.com can cause Mysurfing123.com redirects to third-party web pages. These web pages can be dangerous or even carry infectious material. To avoid computer infections, bypass any offers to install unfamiliar freeware or shareware. You can test your computer and find if it holds any suspicious spyware with an anti-spyware software, for example, ReimageIntego. It is a professional program created to keep your computer safe.

How can Mysurfing123.com hijack affect my system?

Mysurfing123.com browser hijacker is not a useful program, and it is distributed in a way that many PC users count as deceptive. This distribution method, as we have already mentioned, is called bundling. Bundling means attaching several programs one to another and spreading them together. Computer users frequently fail to recognize such software packs as they tend to install new programs using Basic, Standard or Default installation mode. Be careful – these settings do not reveal the suggestions to install additional programs. To see those suggestions, you need to open Advanced or Custom settings and configure them. You just need to deselect agreements to install optional downloads. Then you can finish the installation process. To learn how to remove Mysurfing123.com, proceed to the next page.

How to remove this intrusive browser hijacker?

Mysurfing123.com hijacker can be eliminated with an anti-spyware program or manually. The manual removal instructions are provided below, so if you wish to remove Mysurfing123.com on your own – follow the instructions carefully and you will get rid of this suspicious hijacker in no time. However, we still want to advise you to get a reliable spyware removal tool – such program can continuously scan your computer and see if there are no new spyware installed. Such program also removes various computer parasites and threats with ease.

Choose a proper web browser and improve your safety with a VPN tool

Online spying has got momentum in recent years and people are getting more and more interested in how to protect their privacy online. One of the basic means to add a layer of security – choose the most private and secure web browser. Although web browsers can't grant full privacy protection and security, some of them are much better at sandboxing, HTTPS upgrading, active content blocking, tracking blocking, phishing protection, and similar privacy-oriented features. However, if you want true anonymity, we suggest you employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN – it can encrypt all the traffic that comes and goes out of your computer, preventing tracking completely.

Lost your files? Use data recovery software

While some files located on any computer are replaceable or useless, others can be extremely valuable. Family photos, work documents, school projects – these are types of files that we don't want to lose. Unfortunately, there are many ways how unexpected data loss can occur: power cuts, Blue Screen of Death errors, hardware failures, crypto-malware attack, or even accidental deletion.

To ensure that all the files remain intact, you should prepare regular data backups. You can choose cloud-based or physical copies you could restore from later in case of a disaster. If your backups were lost as well or you never bothered to prepare any, Data Recovery Pro can be your only hope to retrieve your invaluable files.

an infected dublicate of Yahoo search. Do not use it or you will get redirected to malicious pages. I used this search engine twice and I was disappointed both times. Again – it is just not worth to be used, so uninstall it (otherwise itll keep being stuck on your browsers main page)

This virus infected my Mozilla Firefox for no reason! I did not choose to install it, how did it get there? Maybe thats a consequence of my kids activity on this laptop? He downloads computer games from time to time

Could be. if the programs were free, you probably got infected by this hijacker. Teach your kid to install programs correctly, or just supervise him while he does that.
