What is Objectify Media?
Objectify Media Inc is a company that is engaged in the development and distribution of potentially unwanted program. Up to now, it has presented people with a handful of adwares, including SelectionLinks, Web Protect, Face Theme and many others. However, we assume that this company is distributing tens of PUPs but does not specify itself as a developer. Our research team found out that few years ago the apps and the company itself has been blamed for malvertising (malicious advertising). Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that it has stopped initiating malicious activities, which is why you should be careful with its products.
Objectify Media’s software is seldom presented via official websites. This developer employs unfair distribution technique, namely ‘bundling’. It tends to spread its free downloads as attachments of freewares and sharewares. If you have a reliable anti-spyware installed, right after installing a software package that has been involved in the distribution of Objectify Media adware or any other unwanted application, you may get a notification about PUP.optional.(program name) or notice questionable .dll files, such as pcprotect.dll or webprotect.dll running in Task Manager.
Once Objectify Media injects its software in people’s computers, it usually starts initiating various marketing campaigns. First of all, its task is to hijack web browsers and start generating sponsored advertisements. In some of the cases, it may try to promote Ask or Bing search providers, which is a marketing strategy to boost traffic of affiliate websites by replacing web browser’s default start page and search provider with sponsored search site. You may also notice an increased number of advertisements as soon as any of aforementioned programs slithers onto computers. Besides, a noteworthy fact is that Objectify Media “monitors and records the ways in which you use your computer and the websites you visit so that you can receive targeted advertisements.” Therefore, do not delay removal of the Objectify Media applications. While they can be removed manually, it is advisable to remove it using FortectIntego or another anti-malware.

How can Objectify Media get on my computer?
Although security experts warn people every day that by installing freewares careless they risk ending up with a software package, for some reason they keep downloading and installing freewares and sharewares both without checking their reputation and monitoring installation. Unfortunately, but such installation method leads to the infiltration of potentially unwanted programs and havoc during browsing. Fortunately, people may protect themselves from software bundled easily, but for that they have to investigate installation of each freeware, check Advanced/Custom settings, read program’s EULA/Privacy Policy, and reject installation of additional components.
