Bundling is used to spread adware programs
According to IT security researchers[3], bundling is the most common technique used to spread adware. These PUPs come together with regular freeware or shareware which we download from the Internet. You can avoid secret installation by choosing the right installation mode. We suggest picking the Custom or Advanced one over the Quick/Recommended. Here you will be able to track all incoming downloads and opt-out the unwanted ones.
Of course, you always need to make sure that you do not skip or rush any downloading/installing steps. Be careful not to miss any unwanted content. Moreover, there are many third party-promoted web pages which might lack the required protection and include some misleading components. Be aware of all questionable sites as you cannot know where a computer virus will hide.
Additionally, all computer users are strongly recommended to install reliable automatical computer protection. Do not be afraid to invest in a high-quality one as it will detect all possible threats that you might accidentally miss.
