PConverter (Removal Instructions) - 2021 update
PConverter Removal Guide
What is PConverter?
PConverter by My Way is an unwanted browser add-on that might mess up your browsing routine

PConverter is a potentially unwanted program (PUP), which may cause not only those promising activities presented on its official website. You may think that this is a great tool that could be used for free file conversions.
However, you should also keep in mind that it may try to increase the page rank of unknown web pages by redirecting users to them, display annoying pop-ups, slow down the system, and initiate similar inconveniences. Therefore, you should better think if you really need that app.
Besides, to stay away from this potentially unwanted application, it is not enough to avoid the official website of this program because it is spread with the help of 'bundling.' Bundling is a legitimate distribution technique, which has been used for promoting such PUPs as:
- browser add-ons
- extensions
- plugins
- toolbars
- search engines.
However, there are lots of PC security experts who are calling this method illegal and suspicious. If you want to avoid unexpected issues on your computer, you should check the next paragraph of this post and read about the steps that are recommended when installing freeware on the system.
If you have already downloaded the toolbar and have noticed that it causes only unwanted activities (pop-up ads, redirects, slowdowns, etc.) on each of your web browsers, you can remove PConverter with the help of FortectIntego.
Besides, you should think about PConverter removal because of its capability to track people's browsing. If you don't want to reveal your computer's IP address, location, email address, and similar data (not talking about search terms and most visited websites), you should stay away from this app.
PUPs settle down on users' machines without permission
Similarly to PConverter B3 Toolbar, you can easily add PConverter toolbar to each of your web browsers when downloading freeware and shareware, including:
- Internet Explorer
- Google Chrome
- Mozilla Firefox, and others)
That's because such programs seek to earn money from the distribution of browser add-ons, extensions, plugins, toolbars, and similar PUPs. In order to see what optional components are hiding inside the freeware or shareware, you should select Custom or Advanced installation of the freeware. Also, make sure you uncheck all questionable check marks that claim:
'Add PConverter Toolbar to Internet Explorer' or 'Make ask my homepage and new tab'.
If you have already allowed these system changes, you may have already noticed annoying ads, in-text links, and banners in your search results. After clicking them, you may be redirected to sponsored websites that are trying either to increase their page rank or sales.
We don't recommend visiting such sites because they may trick you into downloading various suspicious applications. If you want to stay safe, you need to rely only on reputable programs. If you want to remove PConverter toolbar from the system, proceed with the instructions provided below.
Recently, the developer of this program contacted us asking us to remove this post from the 2-spyware.com website. We believe that we shouldn't do that as long as our instructions help users to remove PConverter from their systems if they desire to do so.
Nevertheless, we have recently decided to make a revision of this and other posts that are related to this developer. We claim that all of them are described properly.

How to prevent from getting system tools
Stream videos without limitations, no matter where you are
There are multiple parties that could find out almost anything about you by checking your online activity. While this is highly unlikely, advertisers and tech companies are constantly tracking you online. The first step to privacy should be a secure browser that focuses on tracker reduction to a minimum.
Even if you employ a secure browser, you will not be able to access websites that are restricted due to local government laws or other reasons. In other words, you may not be able to stream Disney+ or US-based Netflix in some countries. To bypass these restrictions, you can employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN, which provides dedicated servers for torrenting and streaming, not slowing you down in the process.
Data backups are important – recover your lost files
Ransomware is one of the biggest threats to personal data. Once it is executed on a machine, it launches a sophisticated encryption algorithm that locks all your files, although it does not destroy them. The most common misconception is that anti-malware software can return files to their previous states. This is not true, however, and data remains locked after the malicious payload is deleted.
While regular data backups are the only secure method to recover your files after a ransomware attack, tools such as Data Recovery Pro can also be effective and restore at least some of your lost data.
