Searchweb.xyz hijack substitudes browsers’ homepages without user’s knowledge

Searchweb.xyz virus is an application that changes browser’s homepage and new tab page address with or without user’s knowledge. This program can be installed without an intention to do it, because it mostly spreads as an attachment to freeware or shareware. Once installed, it starts Searchweb.xyz promotion campaign. Infected browsers will launch this page automatically or redirect you to it whenever you try to use a different search engine. This promoted site suggests a search engine that greets the user with a line “Hey good looking 🙂 We’d love to see you again. Bookmark us?” However, we definitely recommend you not to do so, because there are hardly any reasons to believe that this search tool is any better than Google, Yahoo, or any other well-known ones. We have discovered that this search engine is being promoted via freeware bundles, which is an annoying software distribution technique that helps to make users install potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) unwillingly. To learn how to prevent this from happening, continue reading below. Searchweb.xyz browser hijacker

The main reason why you should not use this search engine is that it focuses on promotion campaigns and not on your needs. It appears that Searchweb.xyz redirect virus fills its search results with sponsored links to promote certain third-party websites. Every time the user clicks on them, pay-per-click revenue is generated. What is sad is that authors of this hijacker hardly chooses what third-party links to promote, so keep in mind that some of them are dangerous. Even if you know how to identify a phishing or malicious site, your friends, relatives, kids, or anyone who can access your PC might not know how to do it. Protect yourself and others by deleting this browser hijacker from the system. You do not want to keep such vague search tool on your computer. Remove Searchweb.xyz hijacker using anti-malware software like Reimage or uninstall it manually with a help of informative guidelines that our team has written for you. These are located below the article.

Browser hijackers: how to protect your PC from them?

Browser hijackers easily infiltrate a computer system if its owner likes to install new programs using Default or Standard (also Basic or Express) settings. These typically include agreements to add all recommended third-party software along with the main program. You have to deselect these; otherwise, your computer will get contaminated with all sorts of spyware or even malware. To get rid of these unwanted attachments, choose Custom or Advanced settings to set up the new program on your computer. Then remove ticks from checkboxes asking you to install recommended third-party software.

If you feel that you do not want to experience annoying redirects any longer, remove Searchweb.xyz virus ASAP. It might seem like a challenging task at first, but it isn’t, really.
