What is SmarterPower ads?
What is SmarterPower?
SmarterPower is a questionable browser add-on that shouldn’t be installed on the system and kept on it. No matter that it claims that it is capable of enhancing people’s browsing experience, sometimes it may cause you only troubles. What issues can be initiated by this program? The most annoying and the most obvious thing that can be caused by SmarterPower adware is various pop-up ads, in-text links and similar content. Beware that it may start showing you its ads whenever it wants to do that and it may cause them on each of your web browsers. By the way, this program may also initiate continuous redirects to unknown websites, slow downs on each of your browsers and similar problems that can hardly be ignored because, as we have already mentioned, they are initiated on all web browsers, including Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox and other ones. If you have already been convinced that SmarterPower redirects seek the only thing – help you to know about the latest coupons, price comparisons, discounts and other deals, you should think again. In most of the cases these ads are caused for promoting affiliate websites and helping them to increase their sales or the number of their visitors. If you want to avoid suspicious websites that may trick you into installing other adwares and PUPs on your computer, you should stay away from SmarterPower ads. For eliminating this program, we recommend you using FortectIntego (Windows OS) or Webroot SecureAnywhere AntiVirus (Mac OS X). Please, make sure you rely on their latest versions if you want to get rid of malicious files without leaving their leftovers.
How can SmarterPower hijack my computer?
SmarterPower, just like many other programs from SuperWeb LLC, can be downloaded from various download sites, such as cnet, download.com and similar. However, as we have already said, you should be very careful with such programs and double check them before installing them on your computer. You should also know that SmarterPower may show up on your computer without your permission asked because it has been added to various third party programs. Download managers, PDF creators and similar programs have been actively used for spreading SmarterPower virus around. Fortunately, there is a method that can be used for avoiding this potentially unwanted program. You need to choose Custom or Advanced installation, carefully follow every installation step and uncheck check boxes that agree with the installation of SmarterPower or other browser add-on.

How to prevent from getting adware
Choose a proper web browser and improve your safety with a VPN tool
Online spying has got momentum in recent years and people are getting more and more interested in how to protect their privacy online. One of the basic means to add a layer of security – choose the most private and secure web browser. Although web browsers can't grant full privacy protection and security, some of them are much better at sandboxing, HTTPS upgrading, active content blocking, tracking blocking, phishing protection, and similar privacy-oriented features. However, if you want true anonymity, we suggest you employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN – it can encrypt all the traffic that comes and goes out of your computer, preventing tracking completely.
Lost your files? Use data recovery software
While some files located on any computer are replaceable or useless, others can be extremely valuable. Family photos, work documents, school projects – these are types of files that we don't want to lose. Unfortunately, there are many ways how unexpected data loss can occur: power cuts, Blue Screen of Death errors, hardware failures, crypto-malware attack, or even accidental deletion.
To ensure that all the files remain intact, you should prepare regular data backups. You can choose cloud-based or physical copies you could restore from later in case of a disaster. If your backups were lost as well or you never bothered to prepare any, Data Recovery Pro can be your only hope to retrieve your invaluable files.
