Questions about Super-search.org virus
Super-search.org virus is a controversial free program that tricks inattentive computer users into installing it on their computers. This suspicious application tends to change browser settings without telling the computer user first; however, the results are very noticeable. Super-search.org redirect virus alters homepage, and new tab page settings in main web browsers and consequently these browsers will load the Super Search engine by default. This page will flash in your eyes as soon as you open a web browser or launch a new tab in it. At first sight, it seems that the described search engine does not differ from other search engines at all – it seems to be trustworthy, however, the fact that your browser settings[1] were changed without your knowledge should raise a suspicion to you. The fact that it wants you to use it clearly indicates that there is a reason for it, and in this case, the browser hijacker wants to generate money for its authors by providing sponsored content[2] for you. Visiting them can pose a threat to your PC system or your privacy, so we highly recommend you to stay away from them. Ideally, remove Super-search.org hijacker from the system and change your browser’s settings back to normal.

Browser hijackers typically implement another suspicious activity on the computer system – they install tracking technologies[4] on victimized web browsers and start monitoring user’s activity online. Usually, hijackers seek to find out what interests the user and what kind of content he/she often explores online. Based on user’s search queries, browsing history and other bits of data it collects, it attempts to adjust ads and links provided in the search results. However, even if Super-search.org ads seem useful to you, we do not recommend clicking on them as they can easily take you onto hazardous websites. To prevent this hijacker from collecting information about you, implement Super-search.org removal using anti-spyware tools like Reimage or take it away from your computer with the help of tutorial provided below.
How did I get infected?
Super-search.org hijack typically occurs when the user installs one or a few free programs in a rush. We strongly recommend you to be careful when installing freeware or shareware because they tend to provide suggestions to install additional software all of a sudden. Do not rush to hop over all installation steps by repeatedly clicking the “Next” button hastily; instead, read all information provided in each step. You can be easily tricked into installing all kinds of suspicious software if you tend to rely on Standard/Default settings, which, for some reason, seem to be more trustworthy to computer users; meanwhile, they actually are filled with suggestions to install additional components that tend to serve ads[5]. Such ad-supported programs should be avoided, so we highly recommend you to select Custom/Advanced settings when installing new programs and manually deselect all additional apps and toolbars suggested to you.
