Remove Weather Wizard ads (Removal Guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Adware

General information about Weather Wizard

Weather Wizard is a program that pretends to be a beneficial tool to get weather forecasts. Unfortunately, this program was created for entirely different purposes. Computer security experts firmly agree that it is a ‘potentially unwanted program’ (PUP) and ‘adware’ type software that is unuseful and deceptive. This software sends fake warning alerts on user’s screen whenever he or she launches any web browser or opens a new tab.

Weather Wizard adware seeks to deceive inexperienced computer users and make them think that their computer is infected with viruses and Trojans. However, you should know that this scam program uses high-sounding terms to frighten you and force you to call the number provided. YOU SHOULD NOT do so! You are dealing with a computer parasite, which promotes fake tech support. This hideous software sends various pop-up windows, slide-on alerts and other forms of ads to announce that ‘Your Hard Disk May Have Trojan Virus!” or similar messages. It asks to call a number provided to contact tech support and get directions how to fix your computer. You should not call the number because it is believed that it is a premium-rate phone number, which might rip off a huge amount of money from you. The fake support scammers might ask you to reveal some sensitive personal information; do NOT tell them ANY of your personal details, and especially do not disclose any banking information. In most of the cases when these scam messages pop-up, it turns out that the only threat that was installed on the computer is was the Weather Wizard PUP itself; however, if you still are worried about the security of your PC, you can scan it with an anti-spyware program to detect spyware or malware (for instance, you can use ReimageIntego anti-spyware software).

Questions about Weather Wizard ads

If you do not want to install such PUPs like Weather Wizard adware, you have to be attentive when downloading and installing new apps to your PC. PUPs like adware, browser hijackers and other suspicious programs are commonly spread via freeware or shareware. So whenever you decide to get a free program from the Internet, install it carefully. Make sure you adjust the installation settings by selecting Advanced or Custom installation mode and then deselecting the agreements to install any unknown applications that might be proposed to you.

You should never install software using pre-selected Default or Standard installation option because it just does not reveal the information about optional freeware that was attached to your preferred program. These installation options hide the agreements to install optional apps, so they are automatically installed after you finish the installation setup using these settings. If this has already happened to you, you may want to eliminate this computer intruder from your system. You can find Weather Wizard removal instructions on page 2.

How to get rid of Weather Wizard?

It is important not to get scared when you get Weather Wizard virus alerts for the first time. These alerts are fake, and it is quite easy to understand that. These warnings come from a PUP that was installed on your system without your consent, so to get rid of the warnings, you need to get rid of the program that generates them. You can remove this threat from your computer manually if you want; we have prepared comprehensive removal guide, which is provided below this report. If you are a security-minded computer user, and you wish to scan the entire PC system to make sure that there are no other cyber-threats installed on it, we recommend running a full system scan with a reputable anti-spyware software.

You may remove virus damage with a help of ReimageIntego. SpyHunter 5Combo Cleaner and Malwarebytes are recommended to detect potentially unwanted programs and viruses with all their files and registry entries that are related to them.

Access your website securely from any location

When you work on the domain, site, blog, or different project that requires constant management, content creation, or coding, you may need to connect to the server and content management service more often. The best solution for creating a tighter network could be a dedicated/fixed IP address.

If you make your IP address static and set to your device, you can connect to the CMS from any location and do not create any additional issues for the server or network manager that needs to monitor connections and activities. VPN software providers like Private Internet Access can help you with such settings and offer the option to control the online reputation and manage projects easily from any part of the world.

Recover files after data-affecting malware attacks

While much of the data can be accidentally deleted due to various reasons, malware is one of the main culprits that can cause loss of pictures, documents, videos, and other important files. More serious malware infections lead to significant data loss when your documents, system files, and images get encrypted. In particular, ransomware is is a type of malware that focuses on such functions, so your files become useless without an ability to access them.

Even though there is little to no possibility to recover after file-locking threats, some applications have features for data recovery in the system. In some cases, Data Recovery Pro can also help to recover at least some portion of your data after data-locking virus infection or general cyber infection.
