Remove WebShopper ads (Improved Guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Adware

WebShopper ads can be super interfering and annoy computer users to death. This ad-supported software is barely useful at any point, and it is deserving no more than to be described as a computer parasite. Technically, WebShopper belongs to the adware category and is known to be a potentially unwanted program (PUP). If you ask us why this program deserves such classification, we would answer – this program can initiate various unpleasant activities on the victimized PC, starting with a stealthy installation and ending with delivery of dangerous and misleading ads to your screen. If you have spotted “ads by WebShopper,” “brought to you by WebShopper,” “WebShopper deals” or “WebShopper ads” on your screen, there is no hesitation that WebShopper adware has hijacked your computer system. If you want to learn what kind of software it is, please keep reading.

General information about WebShopper:

WebShopper is an application that is sponsored by third-party companies. It means that in exchange for the financial support, WebShopper advertises the websites of these parties. That means every time you see an ad by WebShopper, you should be careful and not click on it accidentally. Otherwise, you might experience dubious WebShopper redirects to third-party websites. Take note that these websites can be dangerous (some of WebShopper related sites might contain infectious programs). If you do not want to expose your PC system to various cyber-threats and other dangers, you should avoid clicking on super annoying pop-up ads, banners, or in-text links. Besides, you should stay away and not browse through rogue websites, too. If you are an inexperienced PC user or if you fail to recognize dangerous websites, you should get an anti-spyware program for your computer to keep it secured in case a random computer threat tries to attack it. You can also scan your system and destroy all suspicious files with it. We recommend using Reimage Reimage Cleaner Intego anti-malware application to remove WebShopper.

Why does this adware show such great deals for me?

WebShopper can spy on your browsing activity, so, as a result, it can deliver ads that look captivating. It might obtain data like your downloads, browsing history, bookmarks, search queries., IP address, e-mail address and similar information. We highly doubt that sharing such information with a PUP is a good idea; it might use this info not only to display attractive ads, but it might also share this information with other third-parties. You should keep such information to yourself.

I did not install WebShopper. How did it get on my system?

Questions about WebShopper ads

WebShopper hijack can occur in case you tend to download and install programs from random web sources and also if you tend not to pay attention to the software installation process. There are two main things that you have to investigate before installing the program:

  1. Read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy documents.
  2. Install the software using the Advanced or Custom installation mode. Look for any suggestions to install additional freeware. In case you find such suggestions, deselect them all.

Commonly, most computer users tend to choose Default, Basic, or Standard installation mode thinking that they are safe. Vice Versa – these options conceal the agreements to install optional software.

If you want to find out how to remove WebShopper, please continue reading on page 2.

How do adware programs get uninstalled?

Adware programs are easy to remove. We have prepared manual removal instructions, which can be found under this article. However, even if you succeed to remove WebShopper virus manually, we still insist on recommending to check your computer system with an anti-spyware program. There might be other spyware or malware programs lurking around. A reliable anti-spyware can detect and banish such programs from your computer.
