What is Webtouch?
Webtouch is yet another ad-supported extension that seeks to drive traffic to sponsored websites and help for its developers to earn the money by increasing the popularity of these sites. Although this program can hardly pose harm to computer and anything what is kept on it, these are some things that bother us. We think that you should avoid installing Webtouch on your computer because this program is the one that is capable of altering some of PC’s settings, showing continuous ads and similar content during people’s browsing and causing other suspicious activities. Besides, it may start tracking you on the Internet and may collect such things as your search terms, mostly visited websites, data that you enter when visiting each of your favorite websites and so on. As you can imagine, Webtouch can be intrusive and annoying, what has made some part of security experts add it to the potentially unwanted program and the adware category. Moreover, you can hardly know who or what is hiding behind these ads. It might be that they will try to trick you into downloading suspicious programs or revealing your personally identifiable information. So, you should be really careful with each of these messages.
If you have already been seeing various pop-ups, in-text ads, search ads, banner-type ads that are labeled as ‘Ads by Webtouch’, ‘Webtouch Deals’, ‘Powered Webtouch’, ‘Brought by Webtouch’, ‘Webtouch Ads’, it means that this potentially unwanted program has already infiltrated your computer behind your back. You should not ignore that because, as we have already mentioned, it may cause not only these annoying ads. In this case, you should act now and remove this annoying program from the system. In order to avoid reappearance of Webtouch, we recommend selecting FortectIntego (compatible with Windows OS) or FortectIntego (compatible with Windows OS and Mac OS X).

How can Webtouch hijack my PC?
This program is promoted as a download manager that should help you to download and install various programs, drivers and other software components. This program is not considered a malicious infection rather than annoying. Moreover, Webtouch virus may end up on your computer in a very unfair way and even not notice you about its presence. This might happen if you install a doubtful freeware without checking whether it is safe enough. Sometimes freewares and sharewares may carry additional ad-supported attachments in order to monetize from advertising. Therefore, there is a possibility to get Webtouch virus in such way. However, if you are attentive enough, you can easily opt out of such unwanted attachment and continue with the installation.
