Dilyme is a browser plugin that targets Google Chrome users

Dilyme.com is a browser hijacker[1] capable of hijacking the default search engine, displaying pop-ups and other unwanted ads on web pages you visit. When installed, it redirects any searches made from search engines through alternative routes and eventually displays modified results in search.yahoo.com. These typically include several sponsored ads at the top, which can mislead some users.
In most cases, the hijacker is installed along with freeware you download from the internet. Nonetheless, if you noticed that your browser preferences changed suddenly, you should eliminate the related app from your device.
| Name | Bigslide.ru |
| Type | Browser hijacker |
| Distribution | Software bundling |
| Symptoms | Homepage and new tab URL changes; redirects to a customized search provider; sponsored links at the top of search results |
| Removal | Uninstall PUPs by following our manual guide or employ antivirus program |
| System fix | After the elimination of adware or malware, we highly recommend running a scan with FortectIntego repair software |
The redirect virus targets everyday search engines, such as Bing, Google, AOL, Ask and many others. When a search is performed, it will go through dilyme.com and vouseat.webcam/dilyme/?sid=[sid]&aid=[aid]&keyword=[keyword], which then triggers a redirect to search.yahoo.com.
If your computer has this extension installed, there is a high possibility that it may also be affected by other adware or unwanted program variants. Since redirects through and to other suspicious sites often display a variety of insecure ads.
The described browser hijacker can:
- Display browser pop-ups promoting fake updates and other software programs.
- Inject advertising banners to websites you visit.
- Change your default search engine.
- Turn random text on sites into hyperlinks.
- Redirect or track your browser's searches.
The developers of the described extension are using results-powered search.yahoo.com, but they integrate sponsored results[2] into them. Such placement of paid links in results' pages allows them to generate revenue as soon as the victim clicks on the deceptive search result.
Unfortunately, these ads might not be useful for the victim as they can quickly redirect one to potentially insecure web pages. To avoid risks, an immediate Dilyme.com removal is recommended.
Thus, we strongly recommend you not to click on any dubious ads. If you have any concerns about your computer’s security or want to remove this extension and other unwanted apps automatically, scan it using SpyHunterCombo Cleaner security program. Also, use FortectIntego for best results.

Suspicious websites are asking to install the dubious Chrome extension
The described browser add-on spreads through deceptive websites that insist on installing the extension before you leave the site. If you do not agree to install it, the website floods you with a continuous stream of JavaScript alerts and dialog boxes.
The deceptive websites run a JavaScript code that produces a dialog box. When you click “Cancel,” it shows a tick box marked “Prevent this page from creating additional dialogs.”
Even if it seems that you are declining the installation of the defined extension, once you tick that mark, your tab goes into “Full Screen” mode, and you are prompted to install it.
According to senzavirus.it[3], you may be redirected to this site from adult dating, gambling, and other suspicious websites.
Therefore, to avoid the installation of this virus, we advise you to:
- Avoid clicking ads, because the appealing appearance of the advertisement may lure you into phishing pages or trick you into installing other malware.
- Keep your software updated to avoid system's vulnerabilities, that hackers often take advantage of when creating all types of adware, browser hijackers, etc.
- Cybercriminals often deceive people with the help of the virus’ appearance, thus download programs only from official websites and use direct links if possible.
Secure your computer and web browsers
If you want to remove Dilyme.com, you have two options — manual and automatic uninstall methods. We highly recommend using automatic removal. Currently, you are only familiar with the described browser add-on, but your computer may be infected with other malware as well.
If you choose the automatic elimination option, choose reliable security software and download it from the official distributor. These apps will delete the infected files and maintain your computer’s security.
