Olcinium Browser – is it a reliable Internet browser? Should I use it?
You should NOT use this web browser. An infamous Olcinium Browser is a program that can cause serious problems on the computer. Here is a list of various effects that this application can cause on an infected computer:
- If this program gets installed on a PC, it may cause system slowdowns or even crashes.
- Once this potentially unwanted program slithers into the system, it removes all shortcuts of Google Chrome.
- It will remove them from your desktop and the start menu, and then it replaces them with Olcinium Browser shortcuts.
- This fake Internet browser is Chromium-based, and it is sponsored by third-party applications. It means that it can initiate various Olcinium Browser redirects to unreliable sources.
- The most shocking fact about Olcinium Browser is that it can infiltrate the computer system without even asking for user’s permission.

You should always be careful if you notice some unexpected alterations on your computer. Olcinium Browser promotes intent.clara-labs.com website, which pretends to be a regular search engine. Unfortunately, this website is VERY dangerous, and you should not use it. As our research team attempted to open this page several times, we have received several notifications that this website may lead to infectious websites that may promote harmful programs. It is not surprising because Olcinium Browser is an ad-supported program. It does not only generate Olcinium Browser ads itself but, as we have mentioned before, it promotes an untrustworthy search engine that also displays misleading search results infected with hyperlinks that lead to suspicious websites. You should NOT click on ads by Olcinium Browser, and you should NOT use the search engine that this fake Internet browser provides. Otherwise, there are great chances to infect your computer by accidentally clicking on infected links. To avoid computer infections and to not expose your system to potential dangers, you should keep an anti-malware program on your computer. We recommend installing FortectIntego and running a full computer scan with it.
How can this rogue Olcinium Browser hijack my computer without my knowledge?!
Olcinium Browser is a potentially unwanted application (PUP). Even though Olcinium has its official website, you will not find a download link for Olcinium Browser. Therefore, this critical application is spread in an indirect way – via other freeware and shareware. The developers of Olcinium Browser tend to attach this program to other free programs. As the majority of PC users tend to install new programs in a rush, they usually skip the “Terms of Use” and “Privacy Policy” documents, which are vital and can reveal the existence of various potentially unwanted attachments. Moreover, many PC users tend to install new programs with the traditional “default” or “standard” installation settings. It is the second and very serious mistake – you should NOT install new software using these options because they conceal the agreements to install additional software. To deselect these agreements, you have to choose either “custom” or “advanced” installation option.
